For that air leak I would put moto seal on those oil pump bolts I do on every saw. For the clutch side seal so you don't have to use a pop can there is a tool called a oil proofing flange farmertec makes them. To hit the seal in I use the a 7 pin rim sprocket from the saw it installs it flat and the perfect depth. For the decomp valve I always use OEM because aftermarket ones can come apart and blow up the saw. The torque for the decomp is 10ftlbs.
We are going to use anti seize... I am aware of the proofing flange but again I am in a10 ×12 shed. Also if I don't have the part number looking it up always takes time. Plus i an trying to show the"JOE SHMOE" who doesn't have but a tin can how the hell he can do this chit I have the 371 page STIHL specialty tool manual, but it takes time...... and patience to find these tools and their part#s. Do you have the part# for this saw? Decom valves are VERY expensive. I have found so far anyways, that if you can eliminate it. ...... you should. A bolt is far less likely to leak, a valve that can get carbon build up, plus, as you said, come apart, is only beneficial if pulling cord is hard for you. THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT NEIGHBOR LOVE YOU and very glad you're willing to offer your thoughts and what you do so we can all share and compare knowledge to help one another find the best ways to tinker on chit!!!! 😁😁😁😇
I think you will have the space to be much more organized on shed 2.0. Shed shop is just too small for what you do for a living. Looking forward to see new shed shop in the future. When you fix that leak, let me know how you did it or post a video for all us youtube watchers.
Hey neighbor really love your channel and I started getting into custom sawing, Just did a 661C and got way too ahead of myself that I forgot to put in the seals 😅🤦🏽♂️, anyways I found that out when the saw was not idling correctly so I shut it off so fast and started tearing it down again, any new tips you’ve learned along the way you don’t mind sharing ? Before I take on this task
Chainsaw redeemer "needs" LOTS of chit. But we will keep working hard and little by little HE will provide what is needed in HIS timing neighbor!!! I see you 👀 ❤
