Great video! I started this year milling my flour and baking sourdough bread. One thing you will want to do to avoid weevils and other bugs that are on the wheat when you buy it is freeze all of your wheat for 3-7 days. My sister in law had her whole order of wheat ruined by bugs by not freezing it first.

I love that you are getting into healthy eating. I have been ordering from Azure for over a year. I grind my wheat and make bread for my family.

Absolutely love this direction of your channel. I geek out over all this kind of stuff too and get weird looks 😂 there’s something so fulfilling about our job as homemakers where we have all these skills we can just learn and use to nourish and care for our family. I’m happy to be weird. ❤ cannot wait to see more on your future homestead journey.

Ahh I am loving your content lately! Your passion and excitement is so lovely and relatable. I have been on the same journey and over the past two years i’ve learned sourdough and started grinding my own wheat berries and I love it! The fresh ground is definitely a learning curve but so so worth it! Good luck and good for you!! :)

Yum! You should make a video on making homemade tortilla chips to go with the salsa!

So awesome! I got into canning in 2020 and gardening in 2021 never looking back! It is so awesome to fill your own shelves with healthy homegrown home cooked food. It’s addicting ❤️

Love this video! I've had a casual garden for the last 10 years or so, but this year I really kicked it up a notch and grew as much as I could with the space I have. I just did my first water bath and pressure canning projects, and I also got chickens (for eggs, not meat), so this summer has been busy! It's also been a lot of fun too.

I am also learning to garden and starting to can. I love old fashioned living, my husband teases that I was born an 80 year old. Watching your videos feels like I'm not alone in this learning process.

Hey! I have canning experience. we produce a lot of vegetables. jars do not need to be tightly closed when you keep them for a couple, and you do not need to dip their infections in water, but only two-thirds. after tight closure

This is awesome. I found you from your potty training video and just watched this. It’s my first year canning and gardening and it’s a lot but super interesting. My first item I canned was strawberry jam and now I’ve made 5 different types of jam haha. I’ve done salsa as well. I bought a pressure cooker and I’ve done chicken broth, carrots, potatoes, etc. It’s addictive. You did a great job. Looking forward to more of these !

Canning is so satisfying! We can tomatoes every year and then I freeze our green beans and local sweet corn. Last year our green bean crop was awful and we didn’t have enough to get us through to this season…it was rough when you’re used to home grown lol

Try einkorn grain, it’s an ancient grain that is very nutritious. Great job 👏 canning , I started small also, now you after 5 yrs you should see my large pantry, it is almost full to capacity. I have a grain mill that I bought over 5 yrs ago and just started milling my own gain 1 yr. Yes it gives you a lot of satisfaction to mill and bake your own breads and cakes etc.
