  • The team head out to Hatter Hill and the surrounding region during our Easter adventure to the bushfire ravaged area at Hatters Hill in search of a lost grave. We also visit Lillian Stokes' Rock and see how much the fire has changed the rocky outcrop and its many gnamma holes. And also we discover new residents making home in unexpected places.
    Oka009 returns to the bush.
WA4WD is a dedicated to exploring the outback of Western Australia. The team travels to remote areas for off the grid bush camping. The Aussie Bush Cook prepares all our meals in the bush. The WA4WD team believes we should do no damage to the bush, ourselves or our vehicles (they are needed to get us home).
The WA4WD team have been camping in the outback for more than 50 years, but we continue to learn from each trip. The team must make repairs without assistance if necessary. Water conservation is very important when away from civilisation.
The team looks for abandonned towns, lost cemeteries and forgotten railway lines. The focus is generally from the Pilbara south.
If anyone can see another camper, then we are too close.
Two members trained with the Australian Army many decades ago and use those bush skills to find tracks and navigate through the outback.
