1984 KDX 200 First Ride

We finally took out the 84 kdx 200 on its maiden voyage, now the conditions for this old air cooled 2 stroke couldnt have pushed it any harder. its cold, snowy, and just down right disrespectful out here right now. but this ole 2 smoker fired right up and ran like a champ!

Had a 83 kdx 200 in 1986. Simple, reliable, tractor motor that would rev out with great power. Whish i could find one 😢. They are rare and almost unatainable at a reasonable price in my area. Nice bike!

I kept my '84 KDX 200 in top shape until I sold it in 2016. Rebuilt as required all stock. Best offroad bike ever. Lots of hard miles.

Rubbing compound may remove the faded patina and restore the snot green color.

What do you mix your gas at, I've got an 86 I mix at 40/1 and the thing smokes like a chimney?

I mix my 79’ MX bikes at 32:1, just like i did back in 1979. Back then it was Golden Spectro.
