Metal Slug 4 (メタルスラッグ4) is a run and gun video game for the Neo-Geo console/arcade platform created by SNK. It was released in 2002 for the MVS arcade platform and is the fourth game in the main Metal Slug series.
In the year 20XX the world trembles under a new evil: Cyber Terrorism.
It started with a widespread proclamation across the World Wide Web of the creation and imminent deployment of the 'White Baby' computer virus, capable of breaking through all known security systems and taking control of the central military systems of every country in the world. The all-powerful 'White Baby' was created by a terrorist organization calling themselves 'Amadeus - Ones Loved by God'. The emergency International Anti-Cyber Terrorism Conference, held as soon as the proclamation was deemed a viable threat, called for the extermination of the terrorist group 'Amadeus' and the enhancement of central military systems' security and facilities across the globe. The involvement of the special-ops PF Squad in the plan to wipe out 'Amadeus', including their presence in the computer networks of the world, was officially decided. Thus Marco, Fio, and new members Trevor and Nadia set out to take down the 'Amadeus' organization, whilst Tarma and Eri set to work creating a vaccine for the 'White Baby' computer virus. After many hours of laborious recon work, the special-ops PF Squad managed to obtain a link-up to a satellite feed displaying a meeting of suspected 'Amadeus' members. However, one of the men present at the meeting shocked all in attendance - it was Morden himself, the devil comes back to life, shown clearly on the screen. Further information from a highly reliable source indicated that 'Amadeus' was planning to attack a communications facility in only a few hours' time. Such a facility was capable of transmitting 'White Baby' across the entire world!
Can the PF Squad take down 'Amadeus' in time?
And just what is the connection between the terrorist organization 'Amadeus' and Morden...?

Ah, yes. Metal Slug 4. The forgotten chapter of the Metal Slug series. Trevor and Nadia, due to only being introduced in this game, weren't fortunate enough to see a return to the series. Yet for true fans of the series like myself, they will never be forgotten.
I do hope they see a return someday.

Good nostalgia here. I remember playing a bootleg version on an *old* Dell computer, where the game is horrendously slow that the words “Heavy Machine Gun” takes around 7 seconds to say.
I used to play Captain Commando in the same way in my first PC ever, an AMD 486 333 Mhz with 32 RAM 😅🙂

Metal Slug 4 will always have a special place in my heart, while it's kinda of the weakest entry in the series, but it's still a really fun game to play.

They opened space for two more characters which were more badass in my opinion

Congratulations my friend! Amazing gameplay. For me this metal slug is one the most difficult sometimes I asked to myself if it was possible to go to the end of this game without lose one life, and you prove for me that's possible.
I love Metal slug 4, but, honestly, Metal slug 3 is the best Metal slug game I've ever played when I was young

Hi Banden, first of all I want to tell you how impressed I am with your gameplays and videos, they are pretty smooth and entertaining.
That being said, as one of your most recent viewers, and considering this is a rather old video and I don't know if you do this anymore but, I really have no interest on watching you buy the game off the store or watching you juggle in the character selection, some of these things just make up for bloat time, I feel like button config showing is ok because it could be educative. Just a piece of constructive criticism since I believe this takes away a bit of the already high quality videos you release.

One thing about Metal Slug 4, is it might be missing Final Attack, but damn, the music is great.

If you pay attention, you can see that Nadia got back up. The reason is cause Mecha Allen doesn't kills the Regular soldiers, only knocks their weapons off their hands.

Replacing Eri and Tarma with Nadia and Trevor was dumb, especially at 2002, SNK should've kept Eri and Tarma and added Nadia and Trevor like they did with Ralf and Clark in future games
I guess on that time they're already thought about it. That's why in MS5, They're returning Eri and Tarma back on playable character again.

It's the cargo elevator, we start the mission at the bottom of the ship's cargo hold, so you have to go up to reach the main deck, the other path the guy didn't show on video is by reaching it via a ladder on the outside of the ship
It looks like the 60fps simply makes it run twice as fast, which isn't right. Lol
