In all honesty, I think Chiefs winning was a good thing, because realistically they're the best shot at stopping the Crusaders dominance. I'm a Brumbies follower, but even I knew that they would be simply no match for the Saders. Chiefs just know them better and were the best team all regular season. I sure hope Chiefs inject some life into what is now a league that is suffering a terrible disease and that is the serious lack of competitiveness.
The Super Rugby comp is a pale imitation of what it once used to be, at one stage it was the best pro comp in the World but not anymore. A lot of sports fans in NZ switching off rugby to following the NRL and supporting the Warriors, who are having a monster of a season. Picking winners in the NRL is an absolute nightmare, as any team can beat any other team on their day. Sadly most of knew it would be the Crusaders first, daylight second in the Super rugby, but who knows, the Chiefs might surprise them.

As a Chiefs fan i can honestly say our last two games (quarters and semis) havent been as smooth as I'd hoped. Thinking critically though im glad we had 2 tough games as opposed to the Saders relatively easy quarter and semis.. I hope it means we will be primed and ready for a tough final better than they are. But with these bloody saders you just never know....
This was a good game, after being hooked on the NRL for the last few years I've really struggled to sit down and watch a Super rugby game as for the most part rugby bores me now but I forced myself to watch this as I'm a lifelong Waikato and chiefs fan.. I enjoyed the intensity and it flowed better than most games but jeez, I can't understand the middle of the field kicking duels that goes on for 4 or 5 mins at a time.. kicking the ball back only to receive the ball back in the exact same position..why don't they take the damn defence on more often? Alot of the kicking doesn't even seem strategic, it just seems like a robotic habit that is built into players these days. I also can't stand teams going for 3 points instead of tries when they are in good field position. 3 points is too many points for a goal. Just stops the game again and allows teams to reset. Anyway, decent game and I'll say I'm not sure the crusaders are going to be all that scared travelling up to Hamilton after the chiefs uninspiring 2 play off wins.

Some of the refs work around the rucks was questionable. Brumbies rolling away into cleaning players all night and never going up to the video ref for any of the held up calls before half time. Can anyone here tell me if that head clash with Narawa, by the brumbies 10 should have been a card? It’s head to head contact and I thought it’s the defending players fault if he gets his head or shoulder in that position. Zero mitigation would also mean it’s a red. I could swear there was a card given last year for exactly this scenario.

I wouldn't bet on Crusaders losing 3 times to any side, even a side as good as the Chiefs. Who knows though, Chiefs know how to win this year

@@Dilmahkana I didn’t think the chiefs would beat the crusaders two in a row and the chiefs did, based on the two semifinal games I give the edge to the chiefs there defence this year is why they only lost 1 game and there defence in the semi is why they are in the finals, blues have always had a mental block against the crusaders but yeah i chiefs ending the crusaders reign next week

Refereeing rugby is such a tough job. But there are a few easy things to spot. Things like knock-ons etc. Can someone tell me how the Chiefs got away with jumping across the line here - ruclips.net/video/6Jv88lLuk28/видео.html Quite often blatant infringements that don't get called, often with one of the teams consistently getting the rub.
I thought the head clash on Narawa was pretty easy to pick up on, i saw it immediately.
