First it is Freddie, not Freddy. This is Queen ( Freddie’s voice). If it was Adam it would say Queen + Adam Lambert. Adam is not an official Queen member. Adam sounds nothing like Freddie. They used the song apparently as an opener for their Rhapsody tour but this is a Queen recording. You can Goggle about the release : “Sir Brian May and Roger Taylor have announced the release of a classic Queen song with Freddie Mercury's vocals as a digital single for the first time, with an accompanying lyrics video” per the Express.
Before seeing Queen and Adam Lambert in Boston on the Rhapsody Tour, I had never even heard of this song before. I can now say that this was an incredible addition to the show and a really great part of Queen’s resume. Glad to see it’s receiving much more attention. Thanks for an incredible song and an unforgettable performance! Queen rocks! 🎤🎸
They used Machines as an intro back in the 80's, so seeing them reuse it was really cool. Saw them in Philly and was really impressed with the whole show's presentation in general.
Glad you enjoyed this track from The Works album. If you are into Queen, explore their greatest hits volume 1, 2 and 3. Pick out the tracks you like and buy the albums where they come from. It has been over 30 years for me when I started collecting their remastered CD releases the time they came out between 1993 to 1994.When Made In Heaven(1995), Queen Rocks(1997 compilation) and Greatest Hits III(1999) were first released I bought them right away. I have every studio album with Freddie Mercury on lead vocals plus his releases outside of Queen too. I wish you a happy journey collecting and listening!
@@anonscribo250 I actually do own their Greatest Hits #1 & 2 on Vinyl. They are both incredible albums and cover some of the best hits produced by Queen over the years. It doesn't entirely do justice to the legacy of the band, as only owning all of the albums could even come close to that. The Works is in my top three favorite albums put out by the band, and aside from Bohemian Rhapsody, Radio GaGa is my favorite song by Queen. This one is certainly growing on me though...
John's bass it's so solid, what a great song. I had never heard this song before, I was 13 in 1984, and only had access to what was on the radio at that age, the singles mostly, and then you grow, life goes on, today for a moment I thought this was a new song, re worked with Freddie's vocals saved, just like the new Beatles song, released recently, what an amazing feeling it was to hear Freddie's voice again anew!, just now reading the comments I find out it is a song from back then, but for a moment just briefly... A Queen song it's always on a class of its own, so relevant now, more than ever I'd say.
Another underrated Taylor/May track. Bring's back great memories of 1984. The album, the singles and the 2 of the 3 night's I saw them at the NEC. Great concerts.

I'm 54 and a friend brought me this album ion the day it came out. This transported me right back there even though I listen to Queen regularly and have seen them many times, though only once with Freddie in '86. Still amazing., and Adam is a saviour - what a live show he gives.
This is a Top 3 tune for me from Queen, and a long time favorite for nearly 4 decades. Knew nothing about the setlist going into the July 2019 Concert in Pittsburgh, PA that I attended. I did realize that it would mostly be a "greatest hits", but I was hoping for at least 1 song that most of the crowd wouldn't know, but would satisfy hard core fans. To open the show, was the epic re-working of Innuendo. And then, BAM! They played Back to Humans. My brother and myself damn near fell out of the arena, while at least 95% of the remaining attendees stood there without a clue. So glad to see this song getting the attention!
A queen fan since 1992... I remember buying The Works and discovering this track. Didnt liked it much back than, but appriciate it much more nowedays. Freddie's voice is outstanding. And it is what the world needs... Back to human!!!

I've always loved this song, and I hate that it is so overlooked! Brings back memories of 1984, I watched them live on TV in Venezuela as guests at the Sanremo festival performing Radio Gaga. I also had the great honor of watching them live in Caracas Venezuela in September of 1981, having just turned 16. I will never forget that experience!
One of my absolute favourite tracks from 'The Works!' album! Whilst sounding on the one hand a vent of frustration at the increasingly digital recording/production process it spoke most loudly to my teenage self as a cri de coeur, railing against the dehumanising mechanisation of people themselves. One that, sadly, resonates even louder today than in 1984. ❤✊
This was the B side to "I Want to Break Free" if I remember correctly and as a 13yo in 1984, I absolutely played the hell out of this. Amazingly underrated track. Thanks for bringing it back!
