nice job!,-- espically liked when da 6 legged beetle visted da shop when u were putting on da exhaust and you let it roll! to explore another day. in the VW shop.i like the plywood table top, good patina!
Hello friend, that hug directly from Brazil, I am also a Beetle lover, I have a 1980 with 1600cc engine. gave a job to work, congratulations, I like your dedication, very good 😎👌⚠
Cinco seis. Mil novesientos cincuenta y seis. .mine is same year too. Just the shell.its disassembled already.from San Antonio..greetings. Feb 15 2021 your car is nice too
Nice replacement, very Good sound 🤗. Cleaning jets by sticking anything thru? No good idea as they are only made of soft brass, brake cleaner and air should work. Keen on seeing it running in a car. Go on, happy easter from Germany
Hey there brother she runs like a dream, and as long as what your sticking in the jets to clean them is small enough you are good. Check out some of my later cruise videos to see my 2276 in action.
Seeing this build, what’s your take on placing the OIL COOLER SEALING TIN, AKA: Hoover bit. Heard it’s important to have on but can’t find much info when someone builds a long block.....thanks
Honestly I had no idea of this piece of tin... apparently it depends on the dog house tin you are running. Check out the link here vwparts.aircooled.net/Hoover-Bit-OEM-VW-Fan-Shrouds-p/hoover-bit-stock.htm I have the newer tin so mine should be ok, but I'm going to check.
Looking good man! I thought I was subscribed! Not sure what happened but I'm back. I saw your post on Dan's channel and was wondering what happened! =)
The distributor drive spring is considered an anti chatter spring... under higher rpms not having it can cause the teeth of the gear to be chipped or damaged.
2110cc and 2276cc motors with a small cam and low compression with a freeway flyer trans is a perfect daily set up.
Very nice getting it going.
Yup yup!! Coming along nicely... thanks for being here man!!
JW Classic VW always buddy.... I might not catch it the moment it comes out but I make sure I get caught up on the good channels.

Yes! I can't wait to start building it! Thanks for sharing man this will help!
What happens if it’s missing the drive spring?, I don’t know if it’s just me, I think I’ve seen where these springs were missing ?

Are you using a thermostat and flaps?
No... I'm not, thanks for the comment Dre!
Is that a innova timing light.

How have the pushrod tubes held up? Any leaks?
Those things sucked... lol I changed them out for the CB performance windage pushrod tubes, wayyyyyyy better.
@@JWClassicVW Thank you. building my 2118 EFI Turbo now and need to pick out some good tubes.
Yes the CB windage are great!!
@@JWClassicVW Did you get the ones with the "coils" on each end or the race version with just on one end?
