That was awesome! I am trying to buy a 2275 from a neighbor. Originally built by Bernie Bergman in the 80's. Ill probably tear it down and rebuild it so great to see you do it first.
This is true on a new cam. This was a rebuild and the cam was good so it was stuck back in. I did however run it for a while at different rpms while fine turning the carbs.
You can pack it with some Vaseline or Lucas oil stabilizer BEFORE you mount the pump. For whatever engine. It gives it a LOT better sucking oil from the sump.
Take a couple bucks and either build or buy you a decent engine run stand before it dumps all your hard work on the floor and ruins your day... BTW, nice looking engine...
It's your basic 2276cc engine. 82mm crank 94mm pistons and 5.5 H bream rods. The cam is close to a fk 8 with 1.4 to 1 rockers and the heads I think were done by brothers machine but CB wedge ports would work too. Carbs are weber 48mm IDF's.
It's hard to say. The price would depend on how and where you source your parts. Whether you went with all new, used or a mix of parts. Are you going to do it yourself or have someone do it for you. Thanks for watching 🤠😎

First run should be higher idle for the cam. Break in. You want crank shaft splashing oil around. 2500 rpm ish

Nice! Now time to get those new heads on Simon.
First fire up is the most stressful part!
Sounds really good 👍
You’re absolutely right; Bugpack was bought by EMPI years ago. I’ve experienced this with front suspension parts and a spark plug wire set.
Great build Clint!
Engine sounds great! 😎
Sounds good. 👍
Sounds great!
Those new cb heads you got, are you running outta the box or do you still lap the valves?
Since none of the valves leaked when I measured the combustion chambers CC I will be running them out of the box.

Cost to build this
