In many cases, I think the food IS probably at least average…on the plane where most of us mortals live - but not edible compared to the starred restaurants most of us don’t get to eat.
i beg to differ because he goes to failing restaurants that are inconsistent and serve old, frozen, maybe even gone bad food. That’s not at all average; we just can’t tell through the camera.@@inthedarkanonymous5625

I guess I missed how Gordon finds these places. They come to him, right? They come to him asking for help? Why then do they get so offended when he gives them honest criticism and solutions on how to make it work?
Do they just ask him to come so they can hear him say, "Whoa! I have no idea how you could be failing! Your food is perfection, the atmosphere is remarkable, and all of the staff are productive, efficient and top-tier. You don't deserve to be failing. You deserve three Michelin Stars!"

They think they are better than they actually are.
Since it's a show, their behaviors are exaggerated for drama and views. The UK Version of KN is a bit more realistic.

I have not seen anything in the MSM or on RUclips where you are fighting for them to keep their traditional stoves. #2 How do you now feel about all the restaurants and mom and pop stores shut down during Covid, yet big box stores were able to stay open, making billions. 3rd How do you feel about Klaus Shwab and the WEF wanting to make big cities like San Fran, Portland, Seattle, and NY Meat free by 2025. They want us to eat meat made of insects. #4, How do you think the Chef you trained under in Paris would feel about having meat removed from the menu and replaced with insects? The Atlanta restaurant is the first time that I saw Gordon Ramsay be outright racist. He is dismissive of both the Latino and African American owners. Funny that he makes their grilled salad, which became pretty common on many menus.
