This 20 minute yoga for flexibility routine is designed to stretch a little bit of everything with basic yoga poses in a longer holding full body yoga stretch. Perfect level 1 flexibility yoga for getting limber, lean and flexible whether yoga for beginners or just feeling a bit tight. 💙 *Try the HIPS SLOW STRETCH:* www.sarahbethyoga.com/25-minute-hips-slow-stretch

I started yoga on this routine 5 days ago. When I first bent over I could barley get my hands to my calfs because I was so stiff and it hurt so bad. After these 5 days I can now touch my toes and even go a little further and get the first knuckles of my fingers on the floor. You rock!

So..I know this is a way old video but just thought I'd let you know it's been a huge benefit for me. I have recently dropped +/- 35 lbs by eating healthy and increasing my exercise regimen. Part of that regimen includes doing this yoga twice a week to loosen up after the harder workouts. I do "leg day" on Wednesdays and then this yoga on Thursdays and I am almost never sore. I also am training for a marathon so I do my long runs on Saturday mornings. Again I follow this with a yoga session on Sunday mornings and it really has helped my muscles recover faster. You ought to consider doing a segment geared toward athletes and recovery. Anyway...just wanted to say thank you and also keep up the good work.

Day one and I barely made it halfway. I always thought yoga was easy like just stretching. But my breathing was so shallow and my arms were shaking just from holding them up (and I'm an athlete) even the child's pose was difficult for me haha but I'll try again tomorrow 😅

Literally me too. Anything that requires upper body strength or using "my core" my whole body starts trembling. It's INSANE because I don't consider myself THAT weak but it sure was a reality check when I started. Definitely the yoga helps though, some days it's harder than others but overall it gets easier the more frequently you do it even if it's only a 5 minute video!

Keep trying, everyone had to start with "attempting" a workout. The first attempt is expected to be poor and not complete, that is the way to revealing the true forms. If someone claims they were already great at something, they are living a façade of ego over conscious reality tucked below.

Some of us girls have a mini yoga group, we meet in our homes. We have tried many yoga cd's and instructors. When we found Sarah Beth we all loved her practices and calm, way of explaining the moves so even a novice can be successful. I joined the 30 day challenge and really enjoyed not only the yoga, but the inspiration was excellent as well. I just turned 69, am overweight, have some arthritis, but find yoga, especially the Sarah Beth style very easy to do. Yoga keeps me moving and going so I can be more active in my senior years. Thank you so much Sarah Beth for your dedication and your fans wish you many yoga years to come. grammyo

Wow! When I did this video when it was first uploaded, I was barely able to make it half way through the video. I haven't been practicing relgiously, only when I need to gain balance and peacefulness in my life and when I am not working. But now I was able to carry out the whole video, being mindful in each movement. Just shows that you can progress if you practice! Thansk Sarah-Beth.

I'm only 22 and have issues with my hips and lower back (sciatic-something according to my doctor) so I was told I need to start stretching regularly. To keep me honest, I started going to yoga classes at my college for a while which helped quite a bit. But now with finals approaching I just don't have time to get over to the gym monday/wednesday/friday. I searched youtube for something quick to do in the meantime so I wouldn't go back to being in pain all the time. Glad I found these. Quick enough to do before bed and I can feel it helping the areas I need especially.

I’ve been doing this yoga routine for the past 3 to 4 years. I haven’t always been consistent with it, so I’m not really flexible, but I have seen improvements when I was consistent ! Even tho I have periods where I don’t practice yoga much, I always come back to this video. It’s so comforting, I almost know it by heart. Thank you 🤍

This has been and continues to be my go-to yoga video for the last 5 years. Have done yoga on and off most of my life. Most teachers are good at doing it, not always good at teaching it. Sarah Beth, I think your videos are the best around. Your voice is soothing, you allow space for people to actually BE in the postures, and in yoga it doesn't matter if your leg doesn't go as high as you wish, it's the journey that matters. Thank you SB so so much!!! Many blessings!

On days that I don't have to be at work super early, I've been waking up and doing either this video. the 20 minute hip opening, or the 16 minute yoga for flexibility (hip flexors and hamstrings). I've been regularly weightlifting for four years and have a desk job, so I've built up a lot of tension and staleness in my hips and hamstrings. Your videos have been an absolute godsend - I feel so much more energized and flexible. I've even started incorporating various stretches into my workout routine in between sets because I'm so addicted to the way it makes me feel. Thank you!

Love, love your videos! I used to be a bit more flexible and way thinner than I am now, so the first couple of days trying to get back to "what used to be" were just anxious searches for videos that could/might/should be somewhat more accessible to a plus-sized beginner. That was two weeks ago. Then I found your 8-minute warm-up and 15-minute cool-down videos, which I use to "frame" my daily beginner dance practice mini-sessions, now this video and hoping to build up - the pace is not essential... I was surprised to take note of the facts that I'm not sore the next day anymore, nor does my back hurt in the morning these days, my posture has improved and I just have a bit more energy instead of the frustrating sensation that my limbs are unfamiliarly heavy, relatively stiff parts that I could barely recognize as my own... :)

I really love your aesthetic. Since I have glaucoma my contrast sensitivity has decreased. Your use of stark backgrounds and simple bold colors is perfect in Assisting my ability to visualize and focus on your poses. What beautiful and helpful videos. Don't change the look and feel and THANKS!!

First time doing yoga seriously today, and I feel pretty good. My body feels less tensed and I feel calmer. I'm going to have to make this an every day thing. haha. Thank you.

I was so sore from doing your yoga for a beach body video yesterday. This was an amazing way to stretch and get the tension out. I love all your videos and posts. Thank you so much for sharing. Light and love.

Usually, I hate yoga; cause I know I’m not doing it right, and, they go so fast ,that I never truly relaxed.
I sighed, and purred, the entire time I did this! and could keep my eyes closed and relaxed, because you described what we were doing so well!
Definitely doing this every mornin thank you!
