    what would be a good thread tension for 3d embroidery on hats? top and bottom thread tension. thanks

    • @RomeroThreads
      @RomeroThreads  Год назад

      The bobbin tension, I like to set it at 200-250. I don’t measure the the top tension.

    Great video and tight embroidery. 🙌🏽 Just curious, what stitch count was used for these 3-D puff designs?

    Do you change your tension for 3d puff .... i am trying my first on the Ricoma MT 1501 and all I get is thread breaks all the time.... so far I have not been able to do one cap :( Thanks

    • @RomeroThreads
      @RomeroThreads  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, I have a separate bobbin for hats and flats. But for thread breaks, I would also check your needle (sharp), reduce speed, and definitely check the thread path. You got this!

      @@RomeroThreads Thank you so much. Do you do one on one consulting? Video consultations? If so how much would you charge? Your videos are better than the Ricoma videos lol

      I am currently not doing consultations, maybe soon I can restart the video and live consultations. Thank you for asking.

    Thanks for another informative video much appreciated. Can any font work for the 3D embroidery? Where can we get 3D fonts.?

    • @RomeroThreads
      @RomeroThreads  3 года назад

      Thanks. For 3D puff the design or letter has to be digitized specifically for puff. Extra stitches have to be added so the foam can perforate and cut the foam. I use Vitor for my puff designs.

    I’m new to this, I was wondering what material is used for the “PUFF” and where is the best place to get it?

    • @RomeroThreads
      @RomeroThreads  3 года назад +1

      It is a 3mm foam. You can get it at Amazon or Gunold. Here's the amazon link: amzn.to/3vheHSA , Ive put Gunolds link on the description, thanks.

    Hey shipmate...this is 2nd time asking you a question..I just brought a 15 needle embroidery machine. I have the Hatch 2 embroidery software. My question is do you digitize your own images yourself for the caps. If not, can you make a video on how to setup the program using the Hatch 2 program. Thanks in advance...

    • @RomeroThreads
      @RomeroThreads  3 года назад +1

      I usually send out more difficult designs to my digitizer. I can do the basic stuff, and Im beginning to get into the more challenging designs. I had Hatch 2, but now I have Wilcom 4.5 very similar to Hatch.
      I do want to start making design videos, so i'll put some on the to do list, thanks for the recommendation.
