as usual your videos are some of the best out there on the psp and their different models. personally i keep my go in stock configuration as i got lucky and bought a few 16gb m2 cards for cheap. i have certain cards entirely for specific game series like djmax for example. i find it cool this way anyway because its like im inserting game cards
Seems like it could use a 3d printed frame to help guide the card into the slot, and stop it falling past the slot into the psp. Otherwise its a really cool mod 😄

first of all your videos are gold for how they carefully describe how to do it step by step. next time though when you have to unsolder something and there are such small and delicate components put a double layer of tape it should help to isolate the heat even more. honestly this solution seems quite uncomfortable to me, ideally I prefer the first adapter perhaps with a personalized cover or by drilling it and making the part where the microsd is attached external
Thanks, its been a while since I last soldered, its a pretty invasive mod but I'm just happy to see anything come up at this point, to drive the psp hardware modding scene forward
The easiest way would be to cut out the port in parts with side cutters and then unsolder all the soldered parts with a soldering iron. There is no point in unsoldering if it will be destroyed during disassembly anyway. Unless you need to save the port, but for this you still need a soldering station.
There's no way on earth I'd be able to install this with that tiny resistor or whatever it is right next to the M2 Slot the amount of things have destroyed because I can't get the resistor back on
Yeah cool mod but I’m not ever gonna do destructive mod on hardware. I’d love if there was just an adapter card available so I don’t even need to open it up.

100% I should have at least given the flush cutters a try before moving forward. Was afraid of the cutters ripping a big chunk of the pads
