How many planes can you make by taking a-part the B52 Flite Test: yes
Stephen isn't the Flite Test Monkey! Come on, some respect! He has a real job. The fact that he's game for some fun should not infer that he is Flite Test's Court Jester. Dude has fun with his friends at work, and gets paid. I wish I had that opportunity. He seems a happy guy, good on ya, I say. I wish I was like him, happy to be at work with people he gets on with. You want to kill that joy by relegating him to be the Fool? Shame on you. Mind you, I'm sure he's game for "shenanigans" as Alex might say. Fine. It's his choice. Your "challenge" seems to be an exercise in puppetry.

Matthew Pate yeah dude they’re really dang neat but I have yet to see a successful version The original plane had a horrible crash landing and the project was discontinued
I was thinking the same but maybe also the could add the nose and fuselage which could hold the 2 together halves together until they approach their "target" then drop the fuselage as a "bomb" on target then the 2 planes that were previously 1 could "attack" with the advantage of suprise 😂🤔 that would be a fun video
Lighter than air? Or a quad copter? I like the first one. I don't think I've ever seen Flite Test work with helium or hot air. This might be a good challenge.
*VIDEO IDEA* Split into 3 groups. Each group builds one third of an airplane and then try and put each section together to try and fly it. The kicker is that the groups can't see what each other are building until the end. Please like so flitetest can see!
Hahaha! How much fun was that?!! Keep up the great work! And @Alex, timestamp 3:28, dude, put a damp hand towel under your cutting board. No more creep when you're cutting. I'm new to RC Planes but a 42 yr cook.
The weeble wobble plane looks amazing! Makes me want to build one! If you’re up for the challenge Flite Test, make the X-02 Wyvern from Ace Combat 04!! She’s a gorgeous airplane with unique switchblade wings.
I have actually tried it myself a few months ago. It was a little too much food for a single person, so I stopped ordering, but recipes are well written and tasted really well. (Just a review, not an ad ;-))
The prototype XB-52 actually had a canopy similar to the B-47. And the B-52 does not rotate on takeoff or flare during landing due to the landing gear configuration. Fun video, as usual. Thanks...
I think there was a story about a B-17 that was blown in half during WWII. The aft end of the fuselage glided to the ground using the horizontal stabilizer as wings, much like your B52 tail.
You guys have really been knocking it out of the park lately! Another excellent video! I went through all sorts of emotions watching that thing fly LOL!
Whoever disliked this video is crazy :D Please do an upgraded Helicarrier and when you release the B-17 please do an fpv bomber formation dropping stuff trying to hit a bullseye on the ground!!
I don't eat anything from a pig, but seeing those small kids brought back some memories of my own. As to the bomber tail, you cut it a bit too short since if it was around 6 inches longer, you would have the squarish begins of a lot of options. What was that harasy? Canards don't look cool? That calls for some sort of punishment! Talk about determination to not trim that large tail rudder, wow. No doubt you figured out every little puff of wind was pushing that rudder and causing the squirly flight and stability issues.
Please dont take this wrong as I do like flight test and what you all stand for. But I was watching some of the older videos before I got to this one. I really miss old school flight test. From the introduction to the end. I get with the growth of a company comes change but the older videos have something going on. I can't explain it. Maybe I'm alone here and I'm not trying to knock what it is you guys are doing as I do appreciate all that you do. Keep doing the craziness that only flight test does. Thanks guys.
Stick a third motor up on that huge tail, or how about a JATO with a model rocket engine? If it didn't work it would make a spectacular fire ball in the sky! Actually it looks more like the space shuttle. Go for it guys use a rocket motor.
Hmm problem of making a comment before watching the video. Still would be fun a idea though. Build a big plane cut it up and make a bunch of smaller flying machines.
You guys are awesome. Always checking notification to see what's next from y'all. Knowing it's going to be a good laugh. Thanks for sharing your passion. Love you guys. 😀💝
have you guys made any planes that use the magnus effect to attain lift? like some cylindrical wings that spin with prop motors? that might be awesome seeing some massive power motors spinning cylindrical wings.
All that left rudder that you had was probably caused by the rudder shape. Looking at the fold, it looks like it made a kfm2 airfoil. I love yalls videos. Keep em coming!
Such a Kool video ! I was smiling ALL the way through ! - I correct myself last time I said a couple of you were unhinged funny. (‘My correction) you are all cases 👍😎😜😂😂 Another great video.
Every time I feel like I'm about to give up on the hobby, FliteTest puts out a video and ruins my pity party! lol Still tail heavy though, the same problem I had with a similar design it would wing walk. They like to fly really really nose heavy like a Plank or the RMRC Goblin for those that don't know what a plank style is.

History: Once there was a B-52 that flew without a tail
FliteTest: Once there was a tail that flew without a B-52
Axel Lee That was a good one
Yeah there's a good video on this saw it the other day. The F-15 is another story to watch the wing sheered off still flying. Landed with no problem

MajorLeague I’m meaning FULL lifting body. No wings, all lift is generated by the shape of the aircraft body
It would be a freaking miracle if they built a _stable_flying_ X-24A or M2-F3
The Wainfan FMX-4 Facetmobile maybe worth a look.

For the seperate in mid flight feature...the plane has to be made in china
Next on Flitetest:
We made a missile out of a B-52 body!
13:03 Chewie hit the hyperdrive!
Now all that is left is make the fuselage fly with out a wing or tail XD

on this friday the 13th nonetheless!
I literally just turned on youtube and this said it was uploaded 39 seconds ago...perfect timing! The edit of this is great!
The USAF should make more B-26s and B-13s when they retire their B-52s.
Props to whoever did the sound! That little tidbit of tense/Jaws music when it started to dive was a fantastic touch.
Flite Test uses all part of the crashed plane, as primitive man did.

I live in South Africa and its 23:39 o clock and I just had a gut feeling that Flite Test has released a new video!!!!
Best quote: "I don't think we're going to sell this as a kit" XD
Might have actually flown better if inverted; the rudder then would give a proverse effect on turns.
So, you broke the B-52 into pieces and now are flying the pieces one by one :-) Nobody can say it isn't an original approach. Great Fun!
