How marvelous to find Oliver's Travels, one of my all time favorite comedic mysteries, uploaded to RUclips. This series is so cleverly written and Bates and Cusack are perfection. Thank you for putting this out there.
Ohhh, I love this limited series, thanks so much for posting! 😘 Here is a journey I would love to find myself on, in a part of the world that has a certain fascination for me - a far-flung backwater of the ancient Roman Empire whose ghosts, both Roman and otherwise, are not above providing some very satisfying chills to a couple of wayward travelers.
I love cryptic crosswords, while I have never attempted to find a compiler I did write to one congratulating him on a rather magnificent clue. The answer was an anagram using 38 letters from the clue. The answer was the names of the 7 Dwarfs in Disney’s Snow White. Wish I had kept the crossword.
Love Alan Bates and I'd never even heard of this - thanks so much Johnny, you always upload top quality stuff (watched Time With Betjeman last night, hence, I imagine, this dropping into my inbox). Cheers!
Thanks for this. First time viewed & not disappointed!
Now we need Sticky Wicket made by BBC Wales in 1990. A corker.

Wow. Oliver's Travels has long been one of my favorites, too! I've always thought I couldn't be the only one who loves this series.
Charming warm humour. Thank you so much.
I was too young to appreciate it at the time, episode of Morse reminded me and I find it on yu tube, grateful I am, thanks.

I found Dame Diana Rigg's speeches about Oliver's Travels on Archive.
Love this!
Just when you thought James Bolam and Barbara Flynn were Alan Plater's ideal couple, along come Alan Bates and Sinead Cusack, and now the jury is out.
Wow! A very young Richard Harrington😉
Writer Alan plater the biederbeck affair and actor Alan bates wonderful combination
