I bought the same bag for my FZ07. It comes in handy. I mounted my directly to the seat. Loop the straps on one side, run them across the underside of the seat and hook them on the other side. Tighten straps and re-install seat. Gives it a clean look and it is easy to remove when not needed.
Nice bag, you can take a lighter and melt the ends of your straps just a little to keep them from becoming more frayed after you cut them. Just takes a little heat so don't over do it.
Thanks for the video. I've just had a Nelson Rigg 1040 arrive at my place in Australia (had to order it from the States) and I too don't like how the straps look when they're attached to the frame. I'll be attempting to mount them inside the tail section like you did this evening.
I just got my tail bag and this is exactly what i did.. i dont trust it only being mounted on the cowl coz it that thing comes off itll take the bag with it.. and plus i take it off a lot and its much easier this way that mounting it on the cowl coz youll have to remove the whole thing
Fiddly. I have a Ventura Imola on mine. The seat bra takes two minutes to fit and stays on the bike. The bag clips to it via four crocodile clips. Great quality, too.
1990 I tried the Ventura bag on my MT07 and the seat bra was too big. It couldn’t secure secure properly to the pillion seat also because of the angular seat which was right where the straps were. What bike did you put it on?
Thanks for the review. You can hold a lighter to the strap where you cut it so it won't frey. Does the bag come with 4 straps and hooks like yours shows? I hope so because I don't like the look of looping the strap through itself like in other videos.
Bought the same tail bag for my FZ-07. Install went well, but how in Lord's name do you get the clips on the straps to hook onto the "D" rings on the bag? My clips are so tight there's NO WAY to get them to do the job. What's the secret?
Good review. thanks. just a hint for the video … best to get the use of sun light on your video when filming it, a bit dark and hard to see. otherwise the content was great.
joetca should fit. I've had a weekends worth of clothes in it. Plus like I posted earlier, fits a 6 pack real nice which imo is the most important feature. Lol
Great news! And this is very important. The bag will easily fit a 6 pack of Bud Light!
+Count Borcula This comment should have way more thumbs up
+Angel Alferez Aroca I know right?! I thought it to be the best feature. lol
+Count Borcula Just ordered this tail bag because of that, lets see what else can I find to fit in. :)
Bad news is that you enjoy a bud light!

Nice bag and good review, nice and short too not to long winded.
Thanks for the video... I mounted my Nelson Riggs bag the same way... it was about $65.00 shipped to me in TX. Love it so far!!
This is the old version to those watching now. The new version expands from the top so you don’t have to loosen the straps to unzip the expansion.
Do you have a link

Awesome! It's an awesome bag. I've been able to haul a few things I didn't think would fit. lol
Can you post a pic or tell me exactly where you threaded the straps onto the bike? I have the same bike and want to do the same. Cheers
Use some super glue at the ends of the trap you cut off. It will keep it from treading out.
Nice job I’ll try to do the same thanks
Good review, nice mod for 07. Because of this I will list likely go with this bag.

Is this the Lite, Sport, or Touring size?
Thanks for the review. Here is another option for mounting. ruclips.net/video/lE4ESXREPuM/видео.html

Can I suggest that you adjust your camera to manual as the light background made the bag hard to see as the camera automatically exposed it .
Nice vid. Is the zipper made of plastic or metal?
Thx for posting. Nice video. I will get one too now
Hi mate, which bag did you get s or st? Thanks bro and good review :)
Does the bag fit a helmet?
This might be a little to late but yeah
problem is when you park your bike outside and it happens to rain heavy ?
Hey is this the CL-1060 S OR THE CL-1060 ST?
Is the ST wider or just taller? Think the base of the ST will fit onto the passenger seat the same way as the S?
Very nice video, thanks for sharing and I have the same bike and colour.
Is this the small one or the larger version?
I have their side bags, and the rain covers suck, highway use they fly right off.
Did you recently trade this in to FL motorsports?
video is very shaky.. but good review. thanks.
...just like the end of the Sopranos :)
krawnik100 LOL! that's funny, I hated that ending! Total fail.
Will it be good on yamaha fz6n?
Was thinking of buying one of these for holding takeout, I'm hoping this can hold the average size Styrofoam container lol.

I couldn't find this bag for less than $80 ...
Good video
nice
will it fit a motorcycle jacket?
nelson rigg cl-1025
this model bag has been updated with straps below the zip expansion seam so it works better
