Bro, I was in Texas a few weeks ago, my buddy took me there. Absolutely amazing. I bought a couple RCs and tons of parts. Awesome people too. I wanted to give them any spare cash I had. I’ll be moving out there in 1.5 years. Can’t wait. Shout out to Alamo Hobbies!!!!!!!
I visited Alamo hobby last year for the 1st time visiting TX and the latest shop was amazing, super clean , had almost everything someone could be looking for.
Not only is the hobby shop the best, customer service is where it's at.

It is about time you made it to Alamo City . I was there a month ago and spent a lot of time with the owner and staff. I asked them if you had been by to visit and they said no. I had the same reaction when I walked in. Glad you were able to experience the “Alamo Way”

We’ve been to a ton of RC Hobby shops, and there’s nothing better than a well stocked shop with a variety. Not to mention a helpful staff!
That shop is astounding. You just don't see shops like that in my area any more. That amount in stock merchandise is amazing.

I drive from Austin to buy my rc stuff from them! They are amazing the whole staff is very helpful and the owner knows everything! What I loved the most is how many rcs they have on display so you get a good idea of what you are buying. They were the only ones around that I could find sledge parts and he had the entire catalog!

Maverick is HPI's budget brand . Its been around for about ten years..
They had some 1/16 scale cars (same chassis . Short course, buggy, monster truck, etc) a 1/10 series of same chassis versions.. then since the rebirth of HPI after Vestergaard Group bought them and started releasing new cars..
I picked up a Losi Mini T on Friday. And another on Saturday. I want another, what a blast.

Just remember if you decide to pull the trigger on a redcat lowrider only the sixty four can hop straight out of the box the Monte Carlo needs additional work like changing out the two front servos to make it hop.
I decided to pull the trigger on both with a blue sixty four and a Black Monte Carlo.

i had to sell all my hpi brand rcs parts were just a headache to locate for awhile. so i went to my local hobby store, picked a platform and brand they support never looked back.
If you ever come to the east coast. Stop at the hobby center in newtown. They have race night every Saturday night.

You need to check out some Hobby shops in SOCAL. Very similar to this but on larger scale. Tonys Hobbies, Pegasus Hobbies, Martys!

You gotta look up Hoosier hobbyplex in New Albany Indiana they have a lot to offer hobby shop and race tracks.
If you ever are in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania check out hobby express in cranberry township they have a lot of different rc vehicles
You are gonna want the new Savage X, the one with the orange and black body. They make them in both electric and nitro.

I use to have several shops like that in my area and unfortunately all are now closed and gone. The closest hobby shop to me is about 30 minutes away without traffic. It’s sad to see local shops go away the online market is killing the local shops. Just walking into a hobby shop has that hobby shop smell and I miss it big time.
