      I don't know if you're dumb or dumb. But where I'm from X TDP times PPT limit (PPT limit = ± 1,35 for all CPU of the world) does be equal to:
      65x1,35≈88W
      105Wx1,35≈144W
      120W×1,35≈ 162W
      170Wx1,35≈ 230W
      253Wx1,35≈ 343W
      Imagine not knowing what TDP and PPT is and saying new based TDP for 9700X is 88W 💀.
      Unless modified settings or special mobo. All 9700X will use at max 88W. Just like a 7600X can pull 144W. It doesn't mean that the base TDP is 144W. Or that it uses 144W every time.

    ETA Prime, Let's not normalize frame generation in benchmarks unless we are hitting above 120fps. (that's when it starts to make sense and input lag isn't much of an issue) Personally I only use it if I can hit ~80fps in order to hit 170Hz. In that scenario, that's when the latency feels similar to a game running at 60fps. When you are running it at ~40fps base framerate that's when it is starting to feel REALLY sluggish

    Good build but realistically few people are gonna use a system this small for any serious productivity given how limited the storage options and cooling capacity are. For gaming with a 4060, the 9700X is no faster than a $130 Ryzen 7500F so that's what I would go for to save $230.
    If you actually want to use it for productivity, a 16-core would completely overwhelm the cooler unless power limited to 100W at which point it'd only be slightly faster than a 12-core with the same power limit. So the absolute highest that makes sense with one of these would be a power-limited 7900(X) given it's much faster than the 9700X at the same price.

      @@LPgmxDan As far as I am aware, PS 1 & 2 games can be 100% played on a PC emulator using original CD/DvDs. PS3 however uses different encoder so only some DVD & Bluray drives can read those discs. Having optical drive in HTPC has more to do with picture quality as oddly, movie on a Bluray will still provide superior 4K picture quality vs 4K streaming services.
      Edit: I found that apparently you can emulate PS1, PS2, PSP, Gamecube and Wii games using original game discs. I am not sure however how you would read UMD disc (PSP) ona PC, as far as I am aware there weren't any PC UMD readers ever made, so I think that in that case, the emulator is using actual PSP's UMD reader connected via USB.

    Thinking a bit ahead... how easy it is to replace cmos battery in this motherboard ? How do you remove the plastic shround/IO heatsink ? I can not seem to find any info about this. All I have noticed is that battery is tucked away behind the plastic cover & WIFI antena module.

    So this is a what, $1200 build all together? Maybe a little less if you go 6000mHz on the ram, settle for a 7700x and only 1tb boot drive. And it’s posting figures like that?!? That’s wild for such a small PC and honestly, would still be impressive if it was a full size for the price. Too bad I don’t have the dosh for a PC like that (or any pc right now) because I think that would be a nice solid build for atleast the next few years of casual gaming and whatnot.

    • @Sk0die
      @Sk0die 22 дня назад

      You could even drop down to a R5 7600 (or even a R5 7500F if your feeling lucky) Both of those would offer very minimal differences in gaming with the RTX 4060 while dropping another $70-120ish off the price of the 7700x. That would bring the total build cost down to around $950-$1050 with cheap ram and 1tb of storage.

    Do you think a Ryzen 5 9600X would be a better pairing for the 4060 LP? What would the performance difference be (if any). I'm definitely sold on the lower CPU temps coming out of the 9000 series of Ryzen CPUs so I'm interested to know if that would be just as good or better given potential bottle necks of the 4060 LP.

      Id much rather go for a r5 7600 cuz the performance isn't that much lower and its way cheaper, it'll pair perfectly good with a 4060 LP Im running my r5 7600 with a 3080 ti with no problem
