  • In this latest video, a couple rush a beautiful red kite in to the centre after they find it unconscious on their lawn!
    Fearing the bird of prey had struck their window, they acted fast and luckily, after an examination from our vet team, it appeared that the bird just needed a good nights rest to recover.

    I absolutely LOVE watching the webcams on the Wildlife Aid website, the animals are so diverse and so unique even when they're the same species their individual character and personalities show! 😍😍 But the webcams on the Wildlife Aid website are all 'offline' at the moment, when will they be available again?🤔🤔🤞🤞❤❤

    • @wildlifeaid
      @wildlifeaid  4 года назад +2

      We love them too. Unfortunately we are in the few quiet months of the year at the moment. Although we're inundated with hedgehogs, we are unable to have them on the cameras as they are in individual cages. Orphan season is just around the corner, so it won't be too long until the fox and badger cubs are in! .

      @@wildlifeaid The Brat Pack (My ferrets and eu polecats!) and I can't wait to see the baby foxes and badgers, obviously it should go without saying we'd prefer them all to be out in the wild with their mothers where they belong but if they do need to be in a wildlife sanctuary for a while I'm glad we can watch and learn from them on how to help others of their species if they're in trouble in the future!🤔🤔 Especially when learning how humans can NOT be a threat to our native wildlife!🤔🤔🤞🤞❤❤

    Aww, great job! Why can't birds see glass? I've been wondering that for a while.

    • @ikigai47
      @ikigai47 4 года назад +1

      I'll take "Because glass is virtually invisible" for 1000 Alex

    • @wildlifeaid
      @wildlifeaid  4 года назад +4

      It tends to be that the reflections on the glass, mirror the sky, therefore birds don't recognise it as a solid object.

    • @symply_Sym
      @symply_Sym 4 года назад

      @@hannahreynolds7611 Damn, that's really disheartening. Illegal poisoning and shooting of raptors, especially kites, also happen regularly in Germany. There was a case around where I live of a Red Kite losing his ability to fly after being shot through the wing. He lives in a zoo now and I believe he is part of a breeding programme.
