Provocateur BCR (Big Cat Rescue)are Not ABUSERS! They give a home to none native and exotic cats that would of been otherwise euthinized! NONE of the cats have to do tricks besides positive meat on a stick training for vet check ups and moving between cages! They have an accredited rehab and release program for bobcats, educate the public why exotic cat ownership is a bad idea, and their cats live for a long time! They have the USA's oldest Jaguar and they had a Tiger live for over 20 years who was active to the end! They also have a strict no breeding program that I admire! I recall a decade or so ago when someone "liberated" a Tiger in California...it was shot out of a heliocopter! Remember the man in Ohio who "liberated" his exotic cats and animal?! Police had to kill them all on sight! As a hunter, I actually love and respect predators...even coyotes! Hence I leave them alone! I will ONLY shoot a predator if it is obviously rabid, in the exact process of attacking a human (if just passing thru I will leave it alone) or dying due to car injury! While I admire this man and his work I am disappointed that they euthanize any unreleasable animals. I think a non-breeding not for profit educational center would be a better idea so not only do locals get an education on local wildlife, but injured animals can still live a nice comfy long life....especially if it was humans who injured them in the first place! I am not talking tiny enclosures but nice big ones like BCR and minimum human contact!
Many years ago I picked up a Merlin falcon, hit by a car. I took it to the vet, he checked the bird over and said that apart from the shock, it was OK. I took it home and placed it in my father's old budgie aviary. We fed it for two days, giving the bird a chance to fully recover and then took him out to where I found him. Releasing that little falcon is one of the best experiences of my life. Once it was airborne it gave us a "fly-by". I like to think it was thanking us.
Simon the shots from the drone were beautiful!! Thank you Richard Simmons! I'm so glad the Kite found it's mate! Beautiful release! Thank you Simon and Wildlife Aid for all you do!
There was a breeding programme in my area for these birds. They've done really well and there are lots of them now. I love spotting them when I'm out and about. Beautiful.
ugh the releases where the wildlife joins up with others once they're away always make me tear up a bit. this one's right up there with the young deer and mom running across the fields together.
I recently found this channel and have been binge watching your videos, I am absolutely amazed at the work you guys do. I cannot thank you enough for helping these animals. If the world had more people like you guys, it would be a much better place. Thank you again for all you do, you are truly great people.
Bless you all for saving such a magnificent bird!! It is very funny and smart that this bird "plays dead." Hope your back is feeling better Simon! Soak in some epsom salts when you're in pain the next time. There is a magic in how this stuff helps eliminate pain. Have a great weekend! Best regards, Dianna
Thanks for he advice! Kites are always funny birds to watch. They can be standing perfectly fine, but when you go into their pen they will suddenly slide off their perch onto he floor!
Brings back memories! I saved 3 kites in Calcutta, India as a young teen. One was a baby I called Al Capone, for his hooded look. I fed him up and he would take test flights to neighbors rooftops, who would then call me to come and get him. He used to sit on my arm when I walked my German Shepherd and had my mongoose on my shoulder. A second one was just dazed from being tangled in electrical wires and needed rest and food. A third had his 'elbow' section of wing shattered by a rich kid with an air rifle taking pot shots at birds. Sick! He was laying on the pavement in a pool of blood, with onlookers gaping around him. I scooped him up, cleaned out bone fragments, and used topical meds to keep wing clean, with a loose sling from a scarf. Lots of meat and rest, and constant wound dressings, and... would you believe in 3 weeks that bird's wing had healed up completely! I had no medical knowledge but used common sense. They are so strong. Sadly there are no vets in India. None where I lived and in that era. I was all that poor bird had, but he did very well. Nature is so strong!
Thank you, brother. I think this might be my first comment on youtube, but it brings me near to tears thinking about how in every corner of the world there are people that have hearts of gold when it comes to wildlife.
Magnificent bird, such awe inspiring colouration and patterns. So touching that its friend came to greet it right away as well. 🙂 One thing that kind of "amuses" me about birds of prey, is how they all look so *angry* all the time. 😃
He´s halfway there, he has received an honour from the Queen, he´s "Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire" :-) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wildlife_Aid_Foundation
hello from west germany , all in this team wonderfull peoples , save the animals and the nature . the hawk have a chance for a big live in freedom . thats a nice happy end .
My favorite bird, you can tell by my RUclips name and picture XD I love them and they are so beautiful and cute! I see them sometimes and one time it even flew right above me, like 2 centimeters above my head! 🦅
I can just see a lot of cars driving by and seeing the poor bird and drive away like the don't care about animals but then someone actually stops to call u guys and I just love that u guys rescue and respect animals I want to save animals like u guys
BEAUTIFUL RELEASE! Was the second kite its mate that was patiently waiting and watching for any sign of it's partner since she disappeared a few days before? I wish we had sequels to some of these wild releases to answer these questions and suppositions.
We think it was its mate. They certainly seemed to know each other :) Sadly we are unable to follow up on cases like this. Once they are released we have no way of tracking them!
As Usual , Well Done ! We get a Few Kites soaring high around here but don't get to see them that close,beautiful..pretty placid for a nice big bird of prey hey? Awesome outcome..with every video we are bigger fans :) keep up the good work and *take time for the simple joys*
I thought that sign said 'DO NOT SLEEP IN THE POND' and I'm thinking, but, who on earth would sleep in a pond!? It's 'step in the pond', made more sense!
God bless you Simon and the lady who reported the injured kite.
Yashodhan Deré it was possiblely tired
What a magnificent bird! And that moment during release, when the other one joins him... whoa, goosebumps! Thank you Simon and all your colleagues!
Thank you so much for watching! We get goosebumps at releases like this too :)
It's great how they both begin to glide at the exact same time at 3:25, not the first time these two fly together, maybe a couple ?
That was our thoughts too :)
mates for sure, the partner was waiting for the other to return, so glad you released in the same place you found it.
Where have you been my Love, I was sooo worried.
That got me goose pimples, that moment was so precious!
Look at its wings! They're beautiful!

Provocateur are you dumb or something, big cat RESCUE. They rescue, omg you dumb
It's probably better if you don't respond to ten year old kids. ;¬)
It's very young and just does this for replies.
wordreet why do you have 2 videos of a car trying to read and a 1 seccond pic of actual trailer

Kites are such majestic looking animals. Seeing him go off and immediately find his mate was amazing.
I hope your back feels better soon, Simon!
Thanks very much :)
That. Was AWESOME. I hope Simon's back is better.
"Harold, you said you'd be back last night. It's been days.. don't fly away, Harold, answer me now. Harold!"
**chokes on morning coffee** :D

It was an incredible moment. We just sat and watched in awe!

There was a breeding programme in my area for these birds. They've done really well and there are lots of them now. I love spotting them when I'm out and about. Beautiful.

They are the best for us too. Always gives you a lump in the throat :)
Awesome, you guys deserve all the charity in the world.
Beautiful video. Thank you for all your amazing work.
Thanks very much!
I love how every bird of prey you've rescued had its beak hanging wide open whenever you handled them. That face is hilarious.
'I'm dead, leave me alone!' :D
Haha. It's a great tactic in the wild, but when you're taking care of them it just looks silly. Thanks for rescuing wildlife!

I like how scandalized some birds expressions look.
Watching another kite joining and flying together with the rescue kite is very moving.
