Who's ready for Nick to go even BIGGER with the X3?
SXSBlog.com
Full send, 110 bud, Shreddy life!!
Can't wait to see the X3 fly.
Awwyeeaaa!!
SXSBlog.com send her bud! Give her 110
Bring it tonMissouri and we’ve got jumps for it to max her out on the track.
Fellas idk if I'm seeing things but when you were adjusting the rear suspension on the right side it looked like some of the white paint was coming off. I really hope that for how much the suspension kit costs that the paint wouldn't come off that easily. Regardless I love the channel and all your videos but Doug is may favorite!! P.S. could I borrow the suspension kit for the weekend? I would to get a hotel room and just look at it and touch it for a while!! Maybe the suspension kit and I could spoon and watch SXSBlog videos together, eat ice cream, and just talk about the future?? Just Kidding LOL!! But honestly it's a beautiful kit and so much better than stock suspension. Great job fellas!! You're now one of my favorite channels on RUclips!! I know it probably doesn't matter but watching these videos relaxes me and makes me forget about everything going on my life even if it's just for a little while.. Thanks so much!!
Such a underrated channel!! doug is Knowledgeable and every video is so thorough been here since 2k subs
Thanks for sticking with us Chase! We hope to keep growing man!
She's definitely a good unit! Awesome 110! I looked at LSR for yxz stuff and they have a killer roll cage. Just to many bones for me right now.
Great video! I never really knew where a good camber and toe setting would be. I'd like to see more stuff like this.
25 clicks on the rear compression and 23 clicks in the front. 16 clicks of rebound front and back and watch the difference!!! Nice work boys, love the vids !,,
Great suggestion! Thanks Corey! We'll giver a go next time we're out.
Another great video as always. i don't even own a SxS but i really enjoy watchin you guys. Keep it up!
Thanks for that Jason! We try to keep it entertaining enough for the non-sxs people.
send it bud. 110%, all the way. You guys are great.
Just ordered my clutch, tune and exhaust for the rzr terba 15 psi boost, high clearance stuff is in, have to do a final on camber adjust for the suspension etc garage floor is way out of level so have to put all 4 wheels off the ground with bottle jacks to get that level before I can attempt the camber adjust, it should rip, stock was scary as hell at 5 psi boost, can't wait.
No heat in the man cave so suspension mods nearly resulted in frostbite, beers were freezing faster than I could drink em LOL
hahahahaha. Damn! Sounds cold.
you know it's cold when you go inside to warm up and put your hands over the baseboard and it makes them feel like you crushed them in a vice lol
Ive been there bro. Pre-Doug times lol
You'd think me being a licensed master heating tech I'd have put some heat out there , pfffttt! no way, money I can spend on the Terba rzr besides I'm well used to having 2 snot ropes hanging down to my knees and hands so froze you can't feel it when you peel the meat off the back of your knuckles lol Ehhh you know what they say "That which does not kill you only makes you sicker than hell" LOL Good Vid Bud keep up the good work and like I said give the Maine ITS trails a serious look, you can literally book a room at a lot of motels and leave the parking lot drive across the road and be on several thousand miles of trails, the entire top half of the state of Maine is all ITS trails well mapped , marked and they absolutely cater to the snowmobile crowd in the winter and the off road community in the off snow season and best off all very affordable, last time me and a buddy went we booked a room and the girls came in took care of our laundry, cleaned the room and when we got back laundry was all washed ,dried and folded neatly on the bureau awesome time 450+ miles in 4 days and you can drive on the main roads to get to restaurants, gas stations etc.
Congratulations and thank you Nick L.,I noticed.
hahahahah MY BOY
SXSBlog.com I'm still catching up with previous episodes and noticed a PBR OJ morning. Have you had a chance to try Stiegel, made in Austria. Breakfast beer of champions and I sell a ton of it.
Man that thing really is turning into a beast!
Just lovin it. What a great year coming also. It's so exciting!! 👍👍
Dude you don't even know. We can't tell you whats coming but my gosh are we JACKED!
Really great video on doing an alignment on the machine. Send it!
Thanks Ben!
Coming up on 14k subscribers guys! Way to go! Another awesome video!
Thanks buddy!
I liked the vid before the add was even over because I knew there was awesomeness to come. I wasn’t wrong!
MHHHMM!
Love the new set-up looks really good.
Thanks man! I wasn't sure about the white but after we installed it I knew it was the right choice.
Nick, your x3 is bad to the bone!! Love your guys videos.
Thanks man! It's only getting better...
Good to see you got a helmet on man. Car looks good. Good job!
yeah we're slowly learning lol
Steve is like the workshop dog, always just kicked around in the background.
ahhaha he's just waiting for his turn to use the garage after us idiots are gone lol
SXSblog uploads a video... "gonna be a good day" thanks for the entertainment boys!
We want more videos of Doug and his YXZ!
As always another entertaining and informative video.
Thanks Nate!!
Easiest way to measure toe is take 2 2x4 slightly longer then the tire
Put them tall ways agent the outside of the tires use 2 tape measures and measure the front and back of the tire. Fast simple way to check and adjust toe
Time for a landing ramp or tabletop. Looks to be a great year for you guys
You aint wrong lol
That’s funny. I have one of the Think from a garage sale. & use it lot. Just one of those odd tools. Good vid
Great job on the video. I was hoping to see a drag race to see how fast the extra HP will affect the hit.
Another great video, keep up the great work.
Proper timing, I just adjusted my camber, toe, castor, and ackerman. on my RC car...
Learning learning and learning,great video
Just rewatched it, so weird seeing beast mode wothout the cage, sticker and 0f course D3's
Dougie B with the high performance crotch ventilation
How did I miss all these old videos man I want to know
Nick, sounds like u have been practicing for a podium appearance! Y'all need to do some more races like the times of old! Btw sub since 230's🤘 had to say somthing since the other guy did lol
We know you're a TRU OG bro hahaha
Great video guys 110%as always
110 bay-b
Y'all found a RZR turbo to test drive yet
y all have convinced me to really look into this suspension kit it seems way quieter when landing that the factory set up any way we could get a comparison video of the 2 x3s jumping one after another to show how much quieter the lsr kit is??
Interesting idea Preston! Not only is the kit quieter but the main goal here was to make it WAY stronger than factory and that it is.
Metric is a far easier and a more precise form of measurement to use. 4 mm toe in vs 5/32' toe in.. Apart from that I really enjoy these vids. Keep it up guys.
Nice alignment vid! Doug is the man!! Just curious what method did you all use to get it level? Air tires up or down on one side?
Get your Suspension tuned by shock therapy for the x3
X3 looking good , can’t wait to see it trail running , your gonna be spanking the yxz now, lol
Right? lol
I have the same level. Always wondered if it worked worth a shit. ole doug approved so shes a beast !!!
The white suspension is sick looking. I just got into a 17 x3 xds.. I haven’t really been able to take it out yet.. would you say that the stock suspension makes a lot of clunking nosies? And if so what are y’alls thoughts on how to fix it other than a full suspension swap?
There just seems to be some slop in the XRS stuff. We haven't had seat time in a XDS so we can't confirm. But thats pretty standard with looser spec'd OEM equipment. Adding things like heim joints instead of rubber/bushings and will help. But you can never get this kind of strength from OEM.
Always land a jump on the throttle it will smooth out the landing...don’t coast.....Just saying! Per GNCC champion Doug Gust!!
Great job!!
Great videos guys
Just need a set of 32” liberty’s and your good to go
Got some?
SXSBlog.com I do :) just ordered them with rims and bead locks for the maverick x3 xmr. The mud tiers that came with it are great but not for the trails. Ch
Check out Brandon Pierce on you tube he has a nice breakdown on parts, he ran Baja 1000 last year with his RC
I’m gonna guess Mike swapped the keys. I would have and it seems like he and I share the same sense of humor.
The white looks killer boys, greasy eh
When will the custom SXSBlog.com decals be available? Like the custom artwork on the X3's rear bumper?!?!?
We can send you some white out pen for your own CUSTOM design!
Sxsblog.com when is the shreddy life sticker coming out?
Great job ,so we going for turbo up grade right
I think we'll leave it where it is. It's right at 200hp after all the Evolution Powersports mods. Plus I'm not sure I can handle more lol
Agreed.just wash it the new wears off after a year or until you scratch it up like i did mine now its once or twice a year it seems like lol.
Now Nick needs a turbo Z1 engine swap in the RZR.
Or just a TERBA
What was the clicking every time it was in the air?
That thing is definitely BA, man just crazy soaking up that flat landing.
Hey that's the secondary clutch chattering. Pretty normal on these units. You'll also hear it during hard braking.
Do you have any videos setting up the right ride height of the shocks on the x3 xrs
I thought the camber and the toe on the rear were supposed to be zeroed. So there would be no camber or toe.
Highly depends on what you're trying to achieve.
might just be me but it looks like you need more rebound in the front end
One guy hold the gauge one guy turn the rod?? Just a thought........
There's only 1 Doug though
if you haven't done so add some blue loctite or those jam nuts will loosen up at some point and create problems for ya
Yeah we're going to go back through and loctite all the connections after we make sure it's where we want it.
did you guys recheck all your measure ments after sending it over the jump to see if it's all locked in good
Not with all the mud. It's freshly washed now and we'll check it out this weekend.
SXSBlog.com ya I figured he wouldn't wanna look with all the mud good to know your gonna re check things look forward to the next vid let her rip potato chip
Yeah great point . When you level it out ,check air pressure in tires too - can throw things off a little
Yeah for sure. We didn't get it on video but I made sure that air pressure was equal all around.
So I also have a XRS and I nose dives really bad! Any advice?
It's mostly the jump style that causes this. Short steep jumps will make it nose dive bad. One thing to try though would be to make sure you stay on the gas through the jump.
I was taught to set up suspensions with full rider weight in the machine. any thoughts on that? why you don't?
It's a negligible effect on these things, so we just get close to ride height. It's gonna change on a somewhat regular basis due to shock adjustments anyways, and we aren't gonna re-align every time.
So do these same numbers for camber and toe in work for a 2013 Maverick???
SHREDDY LIFE
I just did the fingers on the face thing.
I wish I had a Doug to work on my shit😭😭😭
i have a maverick x3 max R , can i install this supension to make it more wide! and i know that im also gonna need the joints of the xrs! .. tnaks
Lonestar offers a MTS kit that's even wider than a XRS! Check out their site. www.LSRacing.com
Sweet
Is the X3 bottoming out? Looks like it may be on a few of those jumps. Perhaps stiffen up the shocks a bit? Send it! 110! #ThatShreddyLyfe
The shocks work super well and use use all the travel when they can. I didn't feel it bottom out. But when we go bigger they'll be adjusted!
I had problems with my X3 bottoming out. Best thing I did was set my cross over nuts about 1.5” from the bottom spring with the suspension sitting normal. Then play with the slow speed adjustment also slowed down how fast the shocks compressed on the landing. My ride hide from the bottom of the plastic in front of the rear tires are 14.5”. And that for me has been the best all around jumping and trail riding.
Ok thanks for the suggestions. We currently have it set to the Fox race tune with some small adjustments for more ride quality.
So much for keeping her stock bud lol.
hahahahahah dude right?
Who’s the 4 thumbs down? Douches, this channel is legit, must be those dirt track clowns, lol
hahahahahha
Grand Canyon!!!
SOON! lolol
Turbo the yxz!!
Let sous in there he’ll get er done on the jumps
I got it handled Jerry! The winter wasn't nice to that jump and it's probably a few feet smaller than it was back when Sous hit it. When everything dries out I'll show him a thing or two ;)
Bighorn 2.0 Buh-Bye?
Ideally.
Not bucking but it is bottoming.
It's getting close! The bypass shocks are really good at using up all the travel. They're adjusted pretty soft so next time we're out Ill crank em up!
I would clean her up then check all the bolts..
Dats the plan bud!
110 thumbs up!!
14k👍🏼
you ever thought about washing your can am ..
You should check out our Instagram: instagram.com/sxsblog/
Why the green key tho
Never mind
If you Armor All everything mud will not stick
We'll give that a try. Thanks!
I use lemon scented pledge on everything. 🍋
Rzr 4 turbo vs x3 max? I want a 4 seat turbo
Tom Crawford the x3 Max is something like 10" shorter than an extended cab Silverado. Unless you only ride the dunes I'd go rzr. The max is just beyond huge.
That’s what I was thinking
We had a max at Hatfield McCoy and had zero issues. Any of the 4 seaters are going to be huge.
I was wondering how the Max did. Does Brian prefer the Max to the rzr 4 turbo? I’ll be mostly Michigan trail riding
The wheel base on a x3 Max is 135", a double cab Silverado is 143. The rzr 4 is 117", that's a pretty substantial difference. They're super cool but they're enormous, go check one out in person if you have a dealer close. The max is 20" overall longer and 10" wider.
why would you spend all that money and go through all that crap when the machine comes with high performance suspension straight from the factory.. doesn't make any $cents$ to me.. BUT IT LOOKS GOOD! That makes it all worth the buck....
The factory stuff bends like warm cheese sticks when you start pushing it hard. These parts are the parts that are used in the highest performance side by sides in the world. Ain't a single one of them using stock suspension components.
Especially for trail riding
Haha, love the warm cheese reference!
He didn’t buy it. It was free. Welcome to the new sponsored evo/lsr channel.
You're a DIY channel but don't see the logic in upgrading to better, aftermarket parts? That doesn't make any sense. I won't ever watch any of your videos. You don't seem to have the right attitude about DIY improvements.
👍👍
Invest in dirt skinz shock covers bud look much much better
I've wondered about those
SXSBlog.com I have a set for the 05 450R love them they are dry and tight bud im sure theu make em for SXS by now silver lake 110bud
