It'd be interesting to hear the difference between micing the drums from inside the shell. With single headed drums, some engineers would place a mic inside the drums, much like what is done with bass drums now-a-days.
This kit sounds soo good, also I really like that ending song, went and followed that guy on Spotify and added that song
literally perfect man
Wow, thank you!
Tone 🤌 This made me an ORTF believer ❤
Love the videos! Can’t wait to hear what else you come up with!
Love it. Sounds super good man!
Thank you!
Great sound! Very cool drum kit too!
Definitely earned a sub bro
Thanks!
You have to stick those mikes up the rump of those concert toms about a couple inches in to get a good 70s sound.
I've heard of this technique, i'll have to try it out.
@kylekrysadrums yeah, the whole point was to isolate each mike-to-drum, preventing bleed.
Yep. That's how they did it back then
Sounds amazing, one thing i noticed is the bass is really present in the mix, even in phone speakers, how did u achieve that?
How did you tune this?
yessir
The worst thing about the 70s drum sound is its not attractive. No bottom heads and open bass drum are simply ugly.... but effective
Every thing has it's place. I am just not a fan of the 70s drum sound. Flat and dead.
That was the idea
Womp womp
No taste
