thanks for the review. always good to see this kinda thing in a proper 3rd party video. retail pics can't convey how it looks when the light hits it when u move it around, and i never really trust the promotional videos they make. anyway this isn't gonna be my regular go to shaft, but i can't resist picking a couple of these up for special occasions.
Thanks for reviewing these I was actually looking for some reviews of these the other day and there was none and then boom you bring a video out 👍🏻 cheers!
When you open with 3 bullseyes that must mean the video will turn out awesome which in my opinion did. I’m a bit at odds with the looks of these shafts, slightly too much bling for me but they still seem cool enough. The $4/set price doesn’t scare me because they are carbon and have stem rings. 10 colors to choose from, cannot go wrong there. Lastly, the Frankenstein darts are a MUST TRY experience. I have built 4 sets of them myself and love them all! Keep up the great work WWD!!
Thanks Gregg. A lot going on with these stems and I'm a basic black stem type of guy but I bet these would spruce up certain sets of darts for sure. 👍🏻
I bought them in a orange short version. Looks fantastic, especially when light goes through it,then looks like a kind of special stone or something like this.
I’ve ran carbon Cosmo, L style, and harrows supergrip and I have to agree 100% with your statement at 2:20. Harrows super grip has been the only long lasting shaft for me in regards to soft or steel tip. Also, for the price point for the Cosmo and L style, they are way too expensive to break so easily. Super grip is what, 5$? I swear by L style supplies but super grip carbon is top tier shafts.
have you tried mission carbon shafts? they are the cheapest carbon shafts i know of at 2 euros per set, and after a few months of throwing them off and on, i haven't broken one yet.
Davey Jones I’ve not actually ran mission carbon yet. But after reading this I’ll for sure look into em and give them a shot. Always good for a new rig/set up for quality shaft to combo my flights.
@@bencorbitt3003 one issue i did have with them is finding slot rings that fit, cuz the tip where u insert the flight is kinda thin and pointy. i ended up using regular grip springs as slot rings.
Have you done any videos about the differences between aluminum, nylon and carbon stems? I have watched so many of your videos I honestly can't remember. Good video as usual sir, keep the facts and reasonably priced dart sets coming. Thank you for doing these
I've been playing with several sets of these for a few months now. I've lost at least one ring from each set to the void that is my carpet. For some reason the carbon versions of the retaining ring aren't holding near as well as the regular metal ones on the supergrip version. Instead of going the punched flight system route though, I've just started putting Robson flights on all my stems. Then I saw your Cuesoul AK5 video...decisions decisions! As for the blingy shaft and dart flights, I only put them on now if I'm going to a friends house and I want to try and impress them, because my dart throwing sure isn't going to!
i got some of these in red and blue, and how much i like them really depends on which barrels i fit them too. imo looks best on simple, boring barrels.
Things I look for in dart shafts 1. Doesn't bend out of shape 2. Length is correct 3. Compatible with punched flight rings I bought some aluminum shafts once and I noticed my darts started planing in little circles as they went to the board. I checked the straightness and they were crooked. Aluminum bends easily and doesn't return to it's original form like nylon. They immediately went on the darts I let little kids throw and will never be used by me again.
Aluminum is my least favorite stem. Horrible imo but at the same it's the stem of choice here in the USA. It seems like everyone uses aluminum stems here.
I bought them with green gems, they look like they have little emeralds inside and i put them on my old paul nicholson darts, I would give you the photo but I don't know how, probably my favourite looking stem ever but expensive, I don't get the purpose of that and I just use rd nitro stems at this point, I like to don't have to punch my flights to put the rings in them
I have a set of those stems also and they look cool. But what they actually do or improve I still don’t know. Good review as always and keep up the good work.
I’m a new subscriber And just wondering if the stems would look good with L style flights? All different colours in stems and flights Keep up the great work It’s amazing to watch your journey 👍
they do look nice but are quite pricey too for a stem. although the stemring looks like a decent one too, one that if used with punched flights would actually result in a long lasting setup. nice design for sure, might need to order me a few sets...
The Harrows Carbons are great and best stems I have used at keeping the flights in without rings😎. Flights last a bit longer as you don't have to use a punch.
Punches never seem to effect my flights life. I end up chipping or dinging them bad enough to replace long before I have issues with where the punch is.
I have been looking at these stems and will probably order some soon. I do have a set of the Carbon flights on my set of Harrows Noble darts which I really like. They are the set I use right now. I was wondering if you would ever punch the flights on the Carbon stems or do they hold tight enough that it is not necessary . I had to catch up on some videos today because I was a little behind. I noticed in this video that you have switched out your dart board again. I have been keeping my eye on it since you first reviewed it. I was wondering what your final evaluation of that dartboard was? Your accuracy on the dartboard always amazes me. Thanks for keeping us informed on the newest products.
I normally use L-Style flights with the shell caps so I don't need punched flights. I do have an update video coming soon about the recent boards I've reviewed. I figured I'd do an all in one update video with the Blade 6, the Target and the Champions Choice.
That's why I was using my 11 gram Frankensteins. I thought if I was going to get deflections it would be with light darts. I didn't notice anything strange at all.
Great video WWD. Do you think they help stabilization of the dart during flight? I find my dart can wobble a bit if I use longer dart points. Was wondering if this could help remedy the issue?
It's strange, if you add longer points or maybe even heavier flights it really changes how the dart flies through the air. But when you add tungsten putty to the inside of the barrel you hardly notice. I'm not sure if these stems will counter the longer points though.
video suggestion: i would be quite interested to watch a video that somehow compares the strength of different shaft materials. particularly how carbon compares to other types.
Loving your videos, keep it up, also have u done a video on dart connect app?? I've only used web cam darts which I've found quiet good, maybe a video on dart connect pros and cons🙂
Are there any benefits in how the dart flies with a stem being comparatively lighter? Do the coloured cells cause turbulence and how does that effect how the air hits the flight?
I have never found a stem better than the unicorn jet lite , alas they have been out of production for some time . I thought carbon stems might be the answer .
Great video as always Worldwide 👍. How about a video giving your thoughts on stems of different materials? Polycarbonate, aluminium, carbon fibre, composite etc 🎯
I'm not as good as my videos might make me appear to be. I can play decent enough but certainly not PDC material. I used to win a lot of stuff locally/regionally though 👍🏻
not to diminish the 3 bulls but that HAS to be easier to do with frankensteins? Stems are pretty boring in my opinion. All I care about is looks/color combos and length, everything else doesn't matter. Some hold my L-style flights better than others but still, not a big deal. I like unicorn stems a lot
Yes, definitely easier with 66mm long points (for me anyway) but at the same time you're dealing with 11 gram darts and the possibility of increased deflections due to the light weight. A lot of people would have an extremely hard time throwing 11 gram darts. I do think these stems will be a 50/50 thing though. You either like them or you don't. I didn't mention it in the video but at nearly $4 per set that's a bit steep for my liking. I'll stick with Harrows Supergrip carbons 👍🏻
i really want to buy these , but i am a reall stems/shafts killer . breaking sometimes 9 on a day . and these kost 4 a 5 euros . so that hurts in the wallet
Thank you for an interesting video clip! I sent you an e-mail yesterday on your irish address (coupled with your RUclips account). It is about research. Please take a glance on that. I would really appreciate it :)
Deflections on these are horrible, wait until you robinhood into the spots where the poly injection meets the carbon fiber! These are a design disaster.

10g Red Dragon Featherlite multi ring. With the 66mm points it bumped them to 11.6g or something like that
These stems are class last long

Nothing that I noticed. To me it was just another set of stems. Nice enough though if you like the looks
Was looking at this thing yesterday 😂😂😂
Best looking stems on the market.
Sadly they don’t fly to well for me.
Seems they behave similarly to the Dimplex stems.
I have never found a stem better than the unicorn jet lite , alas they have been out of production for some time . I thought carbon stems might be the answer .
how about the visibility... does having the coloring down the stem assist with overall visibility?
I noticed Harrows mentioned something about that on their site but I didn't notice anything different with visibility
