- This lesson will teach you how to make/program the beat from the “Amen Break”.
“Amen Break is one of the most sampled beats in music history. It has been used to make many hit songs, and used across the spectrum of music genres. This beat was used to create the main framework for entire genres of electronic music. We use Ableton 10 but this tutorial would help regardless of the DAW you choose.
This beat break was originally performed in the song “Amen Brother” in 1969 by the Winstons.
The full-history is fascinating and will cross into genres and songs you know and love… definitely a great video to check out…

Same!
God loves you all! The Father sent the Son to die for you and your sins so that you could experience freedom to the fullest! Believe in Christ's death and resurrection (which sealed the work done on the cross) for your salvation and the forgiveness of sins! God bless you all, I will keep all of you in my prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm completely new to Ableton and how do you input the actual drum hit into the midi track? It sounds like you're double clicking on the piano roll at 2:50 when you start duplicating the ride, but I can't even get it to input the initial ride hit at all.
I know this is a bit older but just a heads up you actually forgot two snares.
IN 4th bar at 1.2.4 and 1.3.2 there should be a soft snare hit each time
Thanks for checking us out! Really good catch!

The teacher who made that video said he was pretty sure it was: "Cymatics Drum Pack"... probably the Pharaoh Beta Pack

This guy: Names some random rappers who didn't even produce their beats.
Jungle and DNB and Breakbeat communities: Are we a joke to you? This loop kicked off our entire genres.
Hello, We were all about paying homage to this all-time classic break. Elliot, the narrator in this video, is a younger guy and he loves hip-hop. I've got a decade on him, and so I'm the Jungle and DNB fanatic.
That's what makes this beat so cool, it spans so generations and genres. Thank you for checking it out.
Hm.. Sounds nothing as good as the original tho.
why do you talk like that bro
