The Finale! Thank you so much for watching, I hope I did right by the Radiohead fans out there. This is an incredibly brilliant, and personal album, and i’m so happy to hear all of the positive feedback :)
Morning Bell / Motion Picture Soundtrack was VERY heavy for me… It was like the entire synopsis and “theme” of what I was receiving instantly made sense.

This was really something man! You seem very sensitive and in tune with this amazing album.
I did not get it at all when I first heard it. It might be Radioheads most cerebral but also introspective album. But one night I brought out my best headphones, put away my phone and decided to take in the whole thing. I finally got it, and it's now up there with OK Computer and In Rainbows as my personal favourite Radiohead albums. It's also one of my favourite things to have in my headphones when taking a walk around the local lake where I live. Preferably after the sun has set.

@@monarchgupta2712I don’t agree. If you’ve heard of the saying “familiarity breeds contempt” you might understand that when you hear a song that you used to love played over and over again for years, this can take the shine off the song.
I have to approach all the music I love with a little reminder to myself not to overplay it. I want to save it so it always affects me the way it did when I first heard it and get that same euphoria. For me, If you over listen/hear the music it loses that sense of euphoria that I first got from it and I don’t want that to happen.
Imagine your favourite food. Something you really love. Then imaging having to eat that food everyday for months/years...I dare say you’d get tired of it or even grow to hate it and that’s how I feel about music.
When I come across music I love, I ration myself so I don’t get tired of it, and I do this with everything from food through to the clothes I wear. I always want to keep it fresh!
Plus it doesn’t help when you come across self professed Radiohead who only love creep. You ask them what they think about other tracks that weren’t their early commercial tracks and they’re not interested.
I don’t really “hate” Creep, but after feeling like I’ve heard it a million times, I just don’t want to hear it again. It’s still a very good track and it’s been spoiled for me.

I love the fact you played the last track on the album not just once, or even twice, but three whole times - man! Your commitment to this musical journey is clearly deeply personal for you. And this music is beyond amazing isn't it? The themes are never simple, obvious or cheap. It hits home on all sorts of levels that are hard to comprehend - for me anyway. I'm a great Radiohead fan (I first watched them play live in York UK back in about '92-'93, during their Pablo Honey era when they were supporting the band James on tour), and I think you did great justice to their music with your reaction. Would be wonderful if you did another Radiohead album really soon, In Rainbows would be a good one. Hang on in there.....

Morning Bell has always felt like a song about divorce to me..I'm with you about seeing the voice as another instrument and lyrics are sometimes secondary..as with the Icelandic band, Sigur ros..I have no idea what they are saying but the music is beautiful.. Anyway, lyrics certainly enhance and enrich certain songs of course, and with lyrics like " you can keep the furniture, bump on the head." And " clothes are on the lawn with the furniture," and finally, " cut the kids in half" are what make me think of divorce with morning bell..so glad you loved the album..I go between kid a and in rainbows for favorite album..

I don't usually comment on reaction videos that I watch, but I paused around 17:47 because I felt compelled to leave a comment. I've also had a lot of trauma in my life, and feel things very intensely, and have been intermittently experiencing intense dissociative episodes for nearly 7 years now. The way you described the album, how insane it feels to have someone emulate dissociation and put it into a digestible format, is exactly how I felt when I first heard this album last year. It fucking rocked me to my core, and although I've now gone on to listen to many more albums and would easily put most of them as my #1, this is the only one that I feel a true personal connection with. It makes me really glad to know that I'm not the only one affected by the album in this way! Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing it here.
I very recently listened to A Moon Shaped Pool, their latest record, for the first time, and that album very similarly has deep, intense emotional ties - at the time of writing/recording it, Thom was divorcing his wife of 25 years (who died from cancer a few months after the album came out...oof), and producer Nigel Godrich had his father pass away - it's a rough album to hear knowing the context, but I'd really recommend you check it out if you're looking for a similarly emotional experience. It's also very cleanly mixed and beautiful to listen to.
Looking forward to more Radiohead reactions if you ever choose to do them in the future!
EDIT: Also, after unpausing, just wanted to add, this album definitely DOES get better and better with each listen - most of their albums tend to be that way for me!! Enjoy it! 🔥

I’ve had periods in my life where I’ve had real struggles with disassociation, and I have the same hit from this album. Amnesiac is way down the list of Radiohead projects that people usually recommend first, but I think you would get a lot out of it. In particular Pyramid Song and Like Spinning Plates I think could speak to you. It wouldn’t be the right commercial move for your channel probably (go for Ok Computer or In Rainbows for that), but I think you should go look at Amnesiac, it helped me a lot. Great videos.

Would love to see you react to some more Portishead, especially Glory Box, Roads and Only You from their Live in Roseland NYC concert, they have a philharmonic accompanying them, it's an amazing concert all the way through, but those are definitely highlights. Their studio versions of Humming and Western Eyes are 2 other great tracks. Speaking of Trip-Hop, Massive Attack is another absolute must with tracks like Dissolved Girl, Group Four and Black Milk being personal favorites, and not just the same old 3 tracks everyone reacts to, namely, Angel, Teardrop and Unfinished Sympathy. Not that they aren't great, but good to get some variety, also these tracks disserve more attention and recognition. The last Trip Hop group I'm going to suggest at the moment has a very different feel and that's Morcheeba, I'd start out with their album Big Calm, it's the musical equivalent of a tropical beach vacation.
Last recommendation is a wild card, it's the Icelandic group Sigur Ros, and for the first timer, I suggest starting with their track Svefn-g-englar. Their music is difficult to describe as it too is more of an experience, like Motion Picture Soundtrack, Pyramid Song and How to Disappear Completely, but with more atmospheric and symphonic qualities. You could also describe it as musical meditation, it's really something else, and based on your reactions to the afore mentioned Radiohead tracks, you'll really enjoy them!

Motion Picture Soundtrack is one of my favourites, the version on Kid A is so ethereally beautiful but I also love the early versions from 1995 (on guitar) or 1997 (piano), which have such a different tone, almost more melancholic and emotionally raw:

This seemed to have a profound effect on you, was fun to watch, it's an amazing album for sure but imo Kid A is Radiohead's 7th best album. I believe OK Computer, In Rainbows, A Moon Shaped Pool, The Bends, Hail To The Thief and Amnesiac are better, in that order. I see you've stopped releasing youtube videos some months ago, whatever you're doing, I hope you got round to them all.

It’s funny because I thought The Muse and Coldplay where steeling Radioheads music style lol! They where around before them and really created the new Alt Sound.

like so many people i share the way you think and talk about music - just want to sit and listen with you - and like most experiences with my friends i love just watching you process and think - and its so nice to give each other that time and space when having an experience and an exchange of ideas - lets get people together and lie on the floor and do that (─‿‿─)♡ do you like black midi - ravel - etc?
