Crazy, i started watching your videos a while back for your nc miata content. Since that time i decided to pursue my pilots license and im finally purchasing an nc miata. Stumbled back on your channel and now its for plane content lol 😆
Thanks for sharing - I had been lurking on the listings for your new Mooney w/ the Rajay turbo. Great to see it went to a good home. 😀 I'd love to see some videos on what it takes to actually takes to own, operate, & maintain an airplane. As a prospective first time owner, I don't think I've ever seen anyone document that. Cheers!
Great video. Very interesting info. If my memory was better I would have a pilots license. . . . . .I feel like I should do it anyway but. . . . . . . . I distinctly remember my buddy's second plane crash. . . . . .
I kept track of my expenses for 6 months until the upgrade costs exceeded equity, at that point I couldn't stomach opening the spreadsheet. To feel better about the plane I bought commercial property a few hours away.
I can't even remember how I found your channel. It was probably a track day video but I stayed for the financial tips and your overall love of mechanical vehicles so I'm excited for the aviation content. Between you and Cleetus I've been learning a lot.
The airport receives grants to keep the rent on hangars low. I moved all of my auto shop stuff into the hangar and saved about $1400 a month by getting rid of my auto shop lease and leasing the hangar instead. There is generally a long wait to get a hangar where I live because of this.
Sure, here are the rules on the grants from the FAA. Pretty much if you don't use it for aeronautical stuff, they will raise the rent to market or just kick you out. www.faa.gov/airports/airport_compliance/hangar_use#q1

Forgot mention you bought that beauty in the background.

Lots of small plane crashes recently 😬
Make sure to enjoy your airport audit ;)
Got the audit already 😅

Helluva deal
Can you share what grants you received?

Government grants for hangars? Do tell more please

How do I find out if a government grant is an option at my airport?
Mechanical Engineer 🦾 as well. I just re-visited your channel and liking the content, keep it up!
