    Seeing how the trunk mechanism works really helped me open and fix the truck on my new Hummer H2. One of the cables was out of it's bracket. I put it back into the bracket and now my trunk opens as it should! Thanks for this video🙏

      Sorry, it wasn't useful info. for you.🤔🙄
      I have shown my viewers (without spending any money) the way to open it if you're stuck with a locked trunk.
      For You...please pay the dealership/mechanic to open it for you and then please buy a new unit and replace it.

    Can you get spare wire connections, the 3 wires attached to the handle. Mine are stretched so the door won’t open,do they sell wire’s separately or do you have to buy a whole handle set that’s expensive.

    • @SidhuDIY
      @SidhuDIY  Год назад

      Not sure but you can check with Auto part store if they sell it separately.
      I know for the front and rear doors it comes with the actuator.
      Rear Door Latch Lock Actuator - amzn.to/3Q5tQ5b
      Front Door Latch Lock Actuator - amzn.to/46GgnIe
      Rear Right Side Door Lock Actuator Motor - amzn.to/40euzWr
      Thanks for watching.

    Harjinder i follow your
    instructions all coming off except from the bottom panel from the inside.

    • @SidhuDIY
      @SidhuDIY  4 года назад +1

      You really don't need to open the bottom, (actually you won't be able to open it from bottom from inside) Now it will be easy once you open from top and middle now slide your arm inside and pull up the wire and it will unlock it for you then you open the liftgate and then remove the bottom panel.
      I hope it helps, good luck with your DIY project, thanks for watching.

    • @SidhuDIY
      @SidhuDIY  4 года назад +1

      I wish I could make a video from inside but it's really hard to make a video because there is no room so once I was able to unlock it from the wire manually then I removed the bottom panel and found out the clip slide out of the bracket and as I slide it back into the track and it started to work. Please share the results.

    • @hectortamm2766

      Thanks a lot i opened it the actuator works but the wires don't move even by pressing on the remote could it be the wire is loose some where, thanks sidhu.

  • @E510-m9r
    @E510-m9r 2 года назад

    I having the same issue I tried taken the rear panel off and tech down to 3 wires and the mechanism and tried wat you did and it still won’t open. I can also hear the click of the actuator and feel it move to the unlock and lock position and it won’t open is there anything else u can suggest and thanks for your videos

    Did you take off the inner panel while it was locked or did you go through the rear to unlock then and open to fix it?

    • @SidhuDIY
      @SidhuDIY  3 года назад

      As I have explained in the video, I went inside from the back seat and pulled up the panel and then slide my arm I and able to open it (be careful don't cut yourself with the panel, it's hard but can be done)

    I have a 2003 tailgate wont open same problem only question how I open it to fix the problem?

    • @SidhuDIY
      @SidhuDIY  5 лет назад +1

      the question, have you tried to put your hand inside and pulled up the cables?
      if you did then try again pulling the cables again one by one and have the second person standing outside and ask him to pull the lever.
      If you able to open it and it could be you have broken actuator and you need to replace it.
      I have listed the online part number under description.
      Hope it helps, thanks for watching.
      Good luck with your DIY project.

      @@SidhuDIY ah ok but it dont matter if the cover is on cuz it still has the cover wont it stop me from accessing it from the inside ur tips r very helpful

    • @SidhuDIY
      @SidhuDIY  5 лет назад +1

      I tried my best to explain how you can do it from inside with cover on, I had the cover on too and that's how I did it pry out the cover in the middle and on both sides since trunk is closed and you can not open the cover but it's flexible on top and you need to squeeze it in so that your hand can fit once you lift the flap then slide your hand and pull the cables.
      Hope it helps.

    why is the word actuator dubbed in?

    • @SidhuDIY
      @SidhuDIY  5 лет назад +4

      Good question, the reason I did it so that it stands out.
      I just lower the audio on that part because that's the place people should look into before doing any other work.

      Well, I try my best to show the steps/explain, that how you can open it if your trunk is locked.
      The actuator lever broken or comes out of the rail causes an issue, in my case, it got slid out.
      Thanks for watching.
