Thank you, Doyle. Great message. It’s so easy to become agitated when we put too much focus on this world, the news, the wokeness, the corruption, whatever. I’ve struggled some with that these past few years. It’s so cleansing and refreshing when I back away from all that and fix my eyes on Jesus. I can still pray for Israel, for our leaders, for the state of our schools, etc., without fixing my eyes on all those things. Like Jesus tells us and like you reminded us, there’s always going to be trouble in this world, but Jesus and only Jesus overcame it all for us. Thanks again!

When I was watching this String-Along, my wife and I and another friend were planning music for a funeral of an old farmer friend of ours. I don't pick, but my wife plays violin beautifully and I accompany her on guitar, so we took your idea of combining Through it All and There's Something About that Name, and put them together as a special number. We played for the funeral yesterday and a family member told us that he and his wife especially loved Gaither music and whenever they were in our part of southern Minnesota, the Gaithers would park their tour bus or RV in one of his machine sheds, so it was more than special for the family to have that number played at his funeral. Thanks for the idea that blessed a lot of people!
I doubt this man has ever had a Guitar lesson. Most people who can play like this , was gifted by God almighty ........

AMAZING!!!! The studio that Doyle Dykes AND Eric Johnson also played in, Praise the Lord, feel so blessed to have this in my life. I was running from God this week and got on this computer to do my "work" and here this video pops up and I find myself blinded in his presence once again.

Hi there Doyle.
You know, last Sunday’s message “God is large and in charge” helped me a lot this week as I went through some difficulties…. And through all that I got along a lemon tree and it had nothing but leaves… I looked at it and said to Lord: “Lord, this tree is the exact representation of myself… I’m bearing no fruit, just leaves.”
And today I am reminded of Habakkuk 3:17-19 and that even though He is able to make me bear fruit again, I am reminded that HE Himself is our joy (or even more - my joy), regardless of what we can do, achieve or accomplish.
And I am the one (or one of) who needs His Peace. I just need to let HIM guard my heart and mind, because every time I take them, I “lose” them.
Doyle, thanks a lot for your ministry, the Sunday-String-Along, and putting yourself in God’s hands for Him to use you to bless other people.

Wow! That sound was so good today! Coincidentally, I was playing around with Amazing Grace on a Looper the other day and somehow I starting singing the words to There Is A Green Hill Far Away to the same tune. It was just a strange experience to transition between the two songs! Thanks for this special time. I couldn’t listen until Monday this week being on the road on “family business” yesterday. I somehow have missed you until recently Doyle as I stated in another video reply. Obviously beautiful playing, and a beautiful human and man. My comment is many folks are amazed that bass players and drummers can sing with their different rhythms, but you sir, have more going on than most of them. Also, it is great to hear more of your singing/your voice. Your positivity and messaging/talking and playing is the most relaxed I have been in a while. I am not a religious guy, but you are a very good man. A man with blessings who shares. I will have to check out and listen to more of your Sunday string a longs, and not just your amazing playing and music.

Hi Doyle. Jim from Western PA (the person who requested The Lords Prayer two weeks ago😀). I’m watching your String Along, and as you read from Proverbs it reminded me of something: you probably know that the only dog mentioned in the Bible is the Greyhound. I’ve been adopting/rescuing retired Greyhounds for 23 years now-at the number 15 now! In the Kings James Bible, Proverbs 30, 29-31, it talks about the three things: a Lion for strength, a Greyhound for speed, and a King for strutting, BUT in the revised versions and the Amplified version Greyhound is replaced by Rooster!!??. Why? My pastor and I can’t find why that happened? Some “silly” translation mistake? That bothered me when I noticed that and still does today. Any thoughts about that🤔

Iv been in studio whit guitar many times in finland and -79 i play bass and sing song name is do you like funky music its my !
One time i play drums in very heayvy band in Helsinki two songs that hapening -91 if you believe they want me the play drums in ManaMans single… but im a giutar player.. i play first time drums in studio single.. then i say i never play drums a gen never?
