Into the Spider-Verse really defined Miles Morales since that is the video games, Saladin Ahmed's run and the current Cody Ziglar seem to have taken the most inspiration from in terms of Miles' personality and characterisation. Brian Michael Bendis will still get money for creating the character but like a lot of Marvel characters the MCU/film version becomes the primary version

@@julio.dealmeidabranconeto5831 He just needs more villains for himself. He got some introduced in the Saladin run, but the only ones who he interacted with the most were Starling, The Assessor and Quantum.
The Inventor dude, Bumbler, Cold Pharaoh and Snatcher were pushed to the side. So I'm hoping that they do come back and Miles can have some cool interactions/fights with them.

@@windghost2 I hope so. The thing that people tend to forget about villlains that are iconic today is that they were pretty basic when they were first introduced. They only became great through constant exposure and expansion of their character, so that's what I'm hoping for Miles' villains: For future stories to build upon the baseline stablished for these villains.

@@urippe But that my point. They cannot write him like miles. Miles is, more or less, a bit of the newcomer right? The legacy character, often portrayed younger and more inexperienced than Peter.
And that is a problem. Because we know Peter has been Spider-Man for years. You just know that, fan or not, comic book reader or not. So you have to write him as experienced and "wise" in a sense... But at the same time, mandate dictates that he cannot have a family, needs to be single, needs to be "accessible" and in the words of marvel: "Should be more like the young, teenage Spider-Man people grew up with".
You tell me how you write a 25-35 year old Man with more or less High School drama, who cannot hold a stable job or relationship, is not allowed to develop and further has to go back to status quo without fail.
Sure, you get some good story here and there. But in the end, Peter has to exist in that unending hamster wheel. I mean, think about it: If Peter would be married and a dad, would we get that stupid BF story? No. We would see him struggle to get his family and his superhero stuff together. Which is at least potential for a story.
The contrast to Miles, who at this point offers a lot more freedom for writers, is simply stunning and more than a bit sad.

I feel this video especially goes to show how many people have never actually READ miles Original run by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli, because his powers have been shown (atleast his venom blast) to be constantly evolving SINCE 2011 Doom even kidnapped him to run test on him back in the Ultimate Universe, I think you should cover Miles' origin again sometime. So many people are unaware of his supporting cast or originnal run, it's like if you disregarded Amazing fantasy and Lee and Ditko's original run just because the Raimi trilogy did things better, mind boggling

Rabble has the psychological warfare of Green Goblin, and the motives of Eddie Brock's Venom(back in the day) blaming Miles for something he had no control over. The basics of it are pretty meh(she got salty over a lottery) but the idea of someone who goes through so much pain in life that they need something to blame or take it out on, to the point of being unreasonable and spiteful, makes you think a bit huh? Maybe she'll go through a Eddie Brock style redemption arc, learning to stop blaming Miles and try to become a hero.
Bets on whether or not she'll get a symbiote sometime down the road?
Makes me think about how stupid it really is. With Eddie's Venom that was mostly the symbiote's resentment towards Peter that drove Brock's rage. With Green Goblin the whole point is that Norman is being driven insane because of Spiderman that's the basis of his character. Here, Rabble could've gotten rich with her tech alone but losing a lottery drove her to revenge? Seriously? Her mom died and she didn't get to the good school (Starlord watched his mom get killed as he was taken into space, far better than this) Her reasoning completely ruins it especially when she actually had more than one option. That's not craziness, that's straight up pettiness

Miles Morales is my Spiderman, I am literally an Afro-Latino from Puerto Rico and I identify incredibly hard with Miles. All the recognition he is getting as of late makes me incredibly happy!
In my opinion, Miles is the modern youthful spiderman, and I prefer Peter to be the older spiderman. Having both is an interesting situation because it has the potential for interesting situations.
Ngl this was a rlly exaggerated over the top villain for miles shawty really wanted to merc him and his whole family cuz he got lucky I could not take any of this seriously 😂😂

I think it's because representation is important and he doesn't do the same things peter would do. Like tell his family and best friend who he really is... That kind of support I would assume is huge in a super heroes life...

Great story! I love this for Miles! Peter’s kit is so static, it’s fun to see powers mature and evolve. I would want Miles to continue to evolve as a Spider-Man and take his show on the road/space/different dimensions. For now though he’s good to stay a neighborhood Spidy.

Why do I have to choose between Peter or Miles? I grew up with Peter as Spider-Man and when I started reading the Ultimate Comics came out and Miles was later introduced, I fell in love with his character too because I saw someone who looked like me living out my fantasy of being my favorite superhero. I enjoy both characters equally and the fact that Miles is getting so much shine after years of non-comic book fans and racists gave the character and people who liked him shit, it dies my heart good. I'm eating good because I both Peter and Miles content to enjoy.

Hyper fixated on one opportunity that didn't go her way so instead of looking for the next best thing she takes it out on him and held that grudge for who knows how long. Pure nonsense. I'm more so mad that she even got to put a scratch on miles. All this "tech" she was making and could've been a world famous engineer like Tony Stark. Yet, she put the power in the villains hands solely to try and take out Miles, which are the same people robbing and making everyone else have a hard knock life in NYC. She is the problem. The writers are really out of ideas if this new villain is mad at someone else for winning a lotto to a school with weak sauce. Nowadays, these villains need to be motivated by something else. I just don't see just because you're a super hero someone in your past who is random would just come out of nowhere and try to kill you for no other reason people they didn't know that they had something against them, but imagine what would happen if you just cut someone off on the freeway and then they spent years plotting their revenge.
I will say that the either or stuff will be rather generational and I get it. I am a old school Parker Fan. But Miles is awesome, and has had some great stories. His character also carries way less baggage since by comparison it is way younger than Parkers.

I feel like this is a good story about learning to be grateful for every opportunity and the people around you. Though I feel as tho rabble is a bit of wierd villain. The reason for commiting attempting murder is a bit much. Although people feeling as though they have been left behind lashing out is very normal. It just feels like 0-100. No normal person goes insane like this and i don't know if background really justifies the crazy. I feel like jefd being a polic officer or rio being in the medical field could have olay a bigger part in how she is connected to miles. With the lottery being the final straw.

Besides they have introduced other elements to his venom blast that they throw away because they don't know what they want to keep or use while never explaining why these different uses pop up.
