I love the mushroom and the freedom to create something unique with your technique. I've downloaded the pattern and can't wait to try it. If I enjoy the process and the results as much as I enjoyed watching, I'll definitely be back for more!
Thank you very much for this tutorial. I will recreate this mushroom and see if I like this technique. In Germany this mushroom is called "Fliegenpilz"
Aminita muscaria is the "Mushroon of death". In the past, it was put out in a saucer for the purpose of killing mosquitos and flies - one of them had a latin name that included the word muscaria. An early, pretty natural pesticide and I'm seeing it fairly often these days.
I would like to see the stitching. How do you stitch all those tiny pieces down ,, the quilting? How do you make it washable for use in a quilt? Or are these projects only wall hangings and temporary? I have searched but haven;t seen the stitching of your collages. Thanks so much!.
I'll provide more video footage of the quilting-- thanks for the request! They are washable when you quilt the collage densely (I have another video on this channel about washing collage quilts)
Good morning, I joined your mailing list but still can’t get the free mushroom project. Have. Intact you but still not found out how to get this project.
The key is to ensure that your fabric pieces have Lite Steam a Seam 2 on them. When you press the pieces together, they will stick together and you can peel them away from the parchment paper like a sticker and place the collage on a background fabric of your choice. Then press and steam it to the background fabric.
Check your spam folder and if no luck finding the email try subscribing again before emailing them. Also try searching collage in your email sometimes we just miss a email. The pattern in the quilt kit is very nice and higher quality than home printing. Mine wasn’t delivered until late today I am very pleased.
Thank you Emily and Amelia. This was great.
I love watching you do these projects live. I had to watch the replay but it actually lets us see the process in person. Thank you!

Brilliant thank you. I will definitely have a go at this mushroom. They grow here in Scotland; in fact I had one in my garden in the summer.
I’m glad I found this video. I’ve wanted to purchase this kit and I’ve never done collage quilting.
Thank you for doing this today. My daughter loves mushrooms in her home even though she is allergic to eating them.

Hi
from Australia
Can you tell me which side do you put your fabric onto the steam a seam
The. back side of the fabric should have the SAS, and it doesn't matter which side of SAS is applied to the fabric.
Hi from Australia, which side of the steam a seam do you put your fabric on
It doesn't matter which side of SAS you use.
For those of us who have had injuries or some other neurological issue it is nice not to have the music - - thank you
Can you use fabric that has been starch with the fusible background webbing you’re using?
I think so! I would test it out first, but it shouldn't cause any problems.
Once you iron the pieces onto the background fabric, when do you embroider or add embellishments
I embroider or add embellishments after the composition has been steamed onto the background but before the quilting.
Thank you Emily. I so enjoy your youtube videos.
Trying to done load but not working😢😢😢
Do you wash your finished products if they go into a quilt or a pillow can they be washed since they are not pre-washed?
Yes you can wash them! Just make sure your quilting is dense. Here is a video about washing collage quilts- ruclips.net/video/-POKuEQAfOI/видео.html
Can you post to the Uk?
Yes, although shipping is unfortunately expensive!
I signed up for the newsletter, and ordered the kit, but did not get the free pattern to download.
I think the pattern comes in the kit. 😉

Is there a good way to clean your scissors between projects.?
Alcohol wipes work great!
Heat them on your iron and wipe with a dryer sheet.
