This is a bit experimental type of video for me, because this is the first time I try to fully focus on emotions.
Finally it is done. This video blew up in size. first this was meant to be less than minute long video, then somehow it became more than Minute long, then two minutes long and now tree minutes long.
I actually started working on this about half a year ago, but I had to stop quite early, because I just didn't know how to make most of the parts. I probably spent 30 hours making this.

That mechanic reminds me of Animal Crossing, but it’s a lot deeper. In Animal Crossing the characters acknowledge how long you’ve been gone for, but they only acknowledge it from your character. But with OneShot, it’s Niko acknowledging YOU, the player, the person behind the screen, that you’ve been gone and gets scared if you close out the game without putting Niko to bed. Once this game comes out on the Switch I’m DEFINITELY gonna make sure I don’t do that to them.
Imagine you get sucked in the game if you close the game. 🤔🤔

Oh I loved this video. The world machine's reaction to you closing the game and them being glad that the new code prevented you leaving from "that ending" happening to Niko

On my first playthrough I thought the Onshot achievement was for putting the sun back (which was the first ending I got) and I didn't exit through other means

they may have removed the OneShot mechanic, but it is still very apperently closing the game upsets niko a lot

I alway feel so guilty when I have to close the game ;-; So my head cannon is that the first time you do it, its not a big deal. Sort of like how sometimes you're not sure if there was a brief power fault and the lights went out, or if you just had an unusually long blink. But after that, Niko starts noticing.
In the original game, the earliest versions, Niko straight up _Dies._
When you play afterwards, it is clear something is not right with Niko.

So I'm trying to see why people like this game and main character, and (this is going to cause some drama in this comment) I just don't get it,
I don't get the point of it of the game who this Miko, Sniko, or Niko character is(He/She is cute, it's a nice design) I just don't get, sorry
You have to play it and experience it by yourself. Storytelling and 4:th wall breaks are gems of Oneshot. Without spoiling some of the game, it is hard to see what makes Oneshot great.

When you close the game Niko says That everything went dark for a second. This expanded the idea. No there is no SFM animation in Oneshot. I used .vbs to create the pop ups.
