About 4:35 I forgot to mention there's one more creature in the caves that can attack the player directly, that creature is the Spitter. You might get a couple when destroying a Science Station. If I forgot something else, let me know :) 0:34 Requirements 1:58 Beefalo Widget Mod and Domestication 4:31 Raiding the Ruins and Ancient Guardian 6:51 Final thoughts
Hello! I just wanted to tell you that there is a mod called "Skins Extender", which I believe is a client mod. It automatically opens presents for you, even when not at a science or alchemy station. It's really good. Seeing the unopened present made me think about it, and you should really give it a try.
If you’re struggling to find a totally normal tree, I’d recommend going to the grotto when you’re spending your time waiting for domestication to increase and kill a few mushgnomes. It is much easier and less RNG than spending your time chopping for tree guards, plus you can stay on your beef as opposed to needing to dismount to chop It’s always connected to the blue mushroom biome, so when you find that you’ve also found the grotto
There's another server mod called "Beefalo Status Bar" that does basically the same thing as the mod shown in this video, but somewhat more polished. For example, ride time has its own badge which you can mouse over to show the status of your saddle.
Still you need to be familiar with ruins rushing and beefalo taming process, because is harder than it seems, much much harder. You can always get the panflute from PK and use it in case of emergency (this could potentially save you from costly mistakes such as the one at 6:00) and you can get a deconstruction staff on the ruins anyways so you don't lose the mandrake. By the way, is best to have a piggyback since the beginning of the rush because you will be carrying a lot of stuff, and don't forget to make moogles; they are easy to craft and you can get tons of moleworms on PK. Every character can use this method but is best with Wendy because of Abigail, she can drag aggro away from you beefalo if used correctly and obviously you will have more CC, useful against monkeys etc. I even fought Misery Toadstool and almost every boss in this game with my beef. Its Fun. Probably less resource consuming in terms of healing and armor. Nice video.
Also I bring green amulet from the ruins because I want to use it on a War Saddle. Ewecus may give you only 3 steel wools, but you need 4. With green amulet, you need only 2, and can use remaining wool on a Brush.
I always regenerate the world to get Juicy Berries so that I can fully feed a Beefalo for the first 3 days before riding and fighting (cooking berries is recommended because they restore 18.75 hunger instead of 12). That allows domesticating at day 26-27.
Would Walter be the best character for this strategy? Beefalo mostly invalidates walter’s main downside of losing sanity upon taking damage (bishops still damage you), and the extra storage in woby will help inventory management, which can be tricky in the ruins when you have so many gems to carry.
I wouldn't call it the best, since I'm not a fan of Walter, but this strategy heavily benefits any character that has a combat weakness: Wes, Wendy, Wormwood, Walter...
How do you reliably find the blue mushroom biome ? Are they always near the green grassy biomes or always connected to the muddy biome? Are there sinkholes above ground where they will never appear (like desert or marsh). I swear it's easier to find all 3 ruins biomes than it is finding the blue mushtree biome.
I know this comment is old but the beefalo only takes on its dominant trait once fully domesticated. Otherwise, it only shows it in its face and doesn’t gain the effects.
How hard is this on console? Specifically Switch. I’ve been thinking about trying the ruins and Ancient Fuelweaver but I can’t use a mouse or access any of the UI mods that let you see things like health and beefalo status so I think it’s going to give me many problems.
.......i know this is a helpful guide and all but I can't keep myself together from the music choice you have on the video xD That's an instrumental remixed ver. Of [REDACTED] which is song about a little Japanese girl doing nsfw things with her teenager tenants at the dormitory (since she's the daugter of the landlord) and yes the original source of everything was from an actual illustration in "manga" form. Now that i got that off my system off to enjoy the guide.
Ye, you want to avoid that and only fight when necessary to get to the statues or science station. I think one one of the runs I had that setpiece and I managed to use the rooks to deal damage to the bishops, which helped a lot. With the high speed is not that hard to position yourself correctly

You CAN rush the ruins with beefalo but why would you deliberately choose to put yourself through that level of torture when it's exponentially easier without the beefy boy

The first time I did a beefalo rush was with Wendy, that was the first time I played a world up to day 400, Dst became my main game after that.

Thanks for making this, had always been clearing ruins with a beefalo, never knew you could rush the ruins with a beefalo. Great content as usual

I love this strategy so much!
Great video dude ! Im glad to still see new stratagies poping up expecialy hood ones ! You got yourself a like !

@@CatPersonDST dont forget Might wolfgang
lol
THIS NEEDS A REVISIT since the new AG it is really good to rush it with beefalo with wendy, you and abigail take no damage
This strategy and this video is severely underated
Not only possible, but my preferred route! #shrimpythebeefalo
the beef bois are useful :D
Awesome content brother I would have never thought to do this

Great video! Will give it a try! Btw quick question, at what percentage of domestication does the beefalo change to ornery / the dominant trait?
I know this comment is old but the beefalo only takes on its dominant trait once fully domesticated. Otherwise, it only shows it in its face and doesn’t gain the effects.

Nice video! thanks for the guide very appreciated
The king has returned
Would this be good for wigfrid? I would assume not
Isn't it better to wield a hambat while riding since it deals weapon damage?
I'm trying that in my next run as Wurt!
What name of the your status mod?

The music is from pokemon. wtf KEKW
forgot to mention piggy backpack?
Yknow i tried this when YoTB came out. The beefalo died to the first 2 rook + bishop setpiece.

Você é BR? Muito bom vídeo. Como eu consigo levar o beefalo pra caverna?
Sim :) se vc atrelar o beefalo ao sino, vc consegue carregar ele pra caverna se estiver com o sino em mãos

wowwww
You could killed the Rook in a run 4 by making Hambat and tanking.
