Thanks man! I appreciate that. My site even has an editing course I just released too. Right now I have it at an 86% off price so I can have it tested. Lmk if you are interested.
So ours “Donuts&Coffee” our content is family based on our relationship as stepmom/stepdaughter. Trying to figure out how to not sound like we are perfect, but genuinely want to help blended families build positive family relationships.
OMG Danielle, the world needs this podcast out there! You certainly need to develop this podcast and watch it grow. I can see so many opportunities with this. A few years back I helped my sister, who is a lawyer, develop a family law podcast. One of the topics that she would talk about would be blended families. She has since let go of the podcast so there isn't anything up for people to look at, but I do know she has a RUclips channel called Command The Courtroom. She might talk about blended families on there as well: ruclips.net/channel/UC3v2tvsfJxXJSVs7GZedIeg
Shannon Hernandez oh wow! That’s super encouraging! I’m still trying to figure it all out and I know it’s so much I’m missing. That’s why I subscribed and binging your content!
@@SociallyDanie Awesome! If you stick around this week, Thursday I'll be dropping a new video that kinda touches on this particular quandary. Someone asked something similar in another comment on one of my other videos, so it needs to be included in my library. Let me know if you have any questions you'd like me to answer. I'll do my best! Thank you for binging my videos too!
Carl Robinson engagement I such a vital part of the game. Showing up is half the battle. So I'll make sure to comment on other people's stuff and my own as long as it adds value. I hope this helps out and helps you in some way. 😃 Let me know if you have any questions I can answer in an upcoming video.
Great vid! Step 2 and 3 are the most I am spearheading to as I already have Step 1 locked in mind (but nothing produced just yet) and Step 4 will happen once I get things moving. You made a video once (trying to find it..some episodes back) where you stated somewhere along the lines that podcasts should just be audio and on itunes and such. Where do you stand on podcasts/videocasts on this YT platform? I have to be 100% honest - I don't listen to any podcasts via itunes or other sites. Any audio related vids/ episodes, I listen to them on YT. Podcasters as Joe Rogan channel, Mike Mathews (health/fitness related), RX Muscle News (Bodybuilding related news/info), + many more, These aforementioned channels are quite successful despite it NOT being audio only. . The aforementioned channels is the approach i'm trying to aim for. They review products (either their own or others) and have interview guests via audio or an actual skype video prerecorded. Excellent stuff.
Thanks for the comment and I'm glad that you're working on building out the best content possible for your podcast. It all takes time, but with daily diligence, you can get it done. I had to finally break down and do the same for this RUclips channel. I knew that I would be creating content that people would be looking for inside of RUclips, so I knew I had to commit to working on it daily. That's what it takes. With regards to podcasts only on YT, I don't recommend that you do it unless you have a actual video that is being shot where there are jump cuts back and forth. If it's just a piece of audio that has a slate card, then I don't recommend you actually putting the podcast up because it's not good for your channel. RUclips wants to see actual video being displayed and it's best that if you do a podcast where there are talking heads, then it helps. Here's that video you are talking about: ruclips.net/video/LHDm2mUB8mw/видео.html But if you notice those other podcasts, they are still on iTunes, Google Play and Stitcher. You have to remember that just because you consume on RUclips doesn't mean that your listeners are consuming on RUclips. People have different listening behaviors so you have to be where they will be. So it's best to have your podcast on other syndication platforms too. But at the end of the day, you have to measure your own success and not compare your success to someone else's. That will stunt your growth as a podcaster. If you have a solid goal, work toward that goal and you will see success. I hope this helps out!
Thanks for the great reply! (couldn't respond sooner, took off out of town as soon as I replied first) Cheers for the vid link! That's the exact one I was speaking about. Having a 'slate card' approach is not the style I'm aiming for specifically. I like the interviews with the split screen in the middle or cameras switching back n forth from the interviewer and interviewee (sp?) *of course i'm speaking in regards to interviews via the comp, not in person. * i.e - ruclips.net/video/emjl1Uui3Yw/видео.html A split screen interview. ruclips.net/video/OXYz_39_qyY/видео.html A Picture in Picture approach. ruclips.net/video/kvOM_Dw1t9M/видео.html Only audio and a 'slate card'. Not a single image changes for nearly an hour. ruclips.net/video/flc-L_XzYEo/видео.html and lastly, one of the most successful channels (of this field) with nearly 500k subs, is Nicks Strength and Power. 100% pure 'Slideshow presentation' style . Just audio with several pics tying in with the topic of vid. You ever seen anything like this? This is where I tend to think there is big interest in these kind of podcast/videocast approaches, even if it may not be inclined with YT's ideal standards. However, wouldn't be a bad idea in having these type of content on other platforms, too. Anyways, these are just examples of what I am leaning a bit more towards. Cheers for the info again !
Bmore Open Podcast is the name of my podcast and I’ve been doing it since March of this year you’re a Videos help me out so much I just want to say thank you and I would really love if you could go and maybe watch what check out a few clips and critique me that would be greatly appreciated! Also as far as the emails when you say build in email Who exactly should I look to have saved in my email address book?
Hi there. Congratulations on podcasting since March. Keep it up! I'll do my best to go in and critique your podcast. I typically charge for that service, but maybe I can give you a couple of tips on the house when I get a moment. :) As for build an email list, I'm talking about email marketing. Check the show notes of this video. You will want to collect emails from people who will be interested in what you have to offer on your program. Whether it's free tips, updates on your program, etc. Collecting email addresses through an email marketing system like Mailchimp helps you maintain contact with your audience. I recommend watching the video that I have posted in the description.
Shannon Hernandez OK thanks so much I truly appreciate you and I’m taking notes of everything you say! I definitely don’t mind paying for this service as well how do I find out your price list for things you do as far as helping?
I thought I answered this, but I guess I never finished it on my phone. I was responding while I was out and about, but never hit send. So yes, I do collect email addresses through a podcast by seeding a link in the final recording. That link will lead to the email capture form for your lead magnet. I make sure that I use something that is easy to remember or just use a shortlink generator like bit.ly, Pretty Link for Wordpress or Rebrandly.com. Additionally, you should probably mention in your podcast that listeners can go into the show notes on the podcast app and find the link as well. It will take a while for people to realize that they can do this, but you will start to see people opting in over time. It just takes you creating that listening behavior for someone to actually take and action. Does that make sense?

Shannon, fantastic advice as always! Thank you!! Wish you were an outdoorsman, love to have you on my show....
I do get out and hike here in Arizona! 😲 I'm not sure that would fit your program.
