Your point about simulators is taken, but most games are multiplatform nowadays. Name one top 10 game in the last year that was (and still is) PC exclusive.

The MobileMe fiasco, defective iPhone 2.0 firmware, bugs and crashing in Leopard, Macbooks cracking around the touchpad, Macbook Airs overheating. Nope, other than that I haven't heard about the problems Macs have.
A PC capable of 4x FSAA and 8x anisotropic filtering on the latest games at 1080p resolution is going to cost more per year (if you average the life of a gaming PC as 4 years) than buying a 360 ELITE every single year.
Of course I read it.... did you read yours? My PhD is In Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence specialty my dear :) (my Master's was on the same subject). And no, you missed exactly by 13 years.... I am 26. Cheers!
Or buy a Mac Pro, and use Boot Camp to install Windows and run the same games with multi-pass antialiasing, 8x anisotropic filtering, updates, mods, nline interactivity, and upgrade your hardware bit-by-bit instead of having to buy a whole new unit in a year.

Sure, use a mac for your personal computing needs, and get a PS3 for games. And an XBOX 360, since the titles for PS3 are limited. And then get whatever next-generation consoles come out in the near future. Or, get a PC for your personal computing needs, and run the same games on it as above, but with multi-pass antialiasing, 8x anisotropic filtering, updates, mods, better online interactivity, and upgrade your hardware bit-by-bit as needed instead of having to buy a whole new unit in a year.

hey im also a pc im proud of being tricked/scamed by microsoft, im proud of having to pay for such a shitty os over the years and having my family praise it because they dont know something else, get real freedom use GNU/linux *BSD SOLARIS etc. im proud of being a (GNU/linux)PC

um.... PCs have much better games than MAC or any console. Then again I like simulators and RTS games. If you do not want 10 platforms buy a PC. Its one investment for everything. I will agree that Microsoft do not make PCs, but the MAC adv series was a thinly veiled attack on MS. Just look at what the problems presented in those adds targetted? PC Hardware or Software?

Actually "PC" in this context originally meant "IBM-compatible". In other words, based on DOS. So "PC" in a marketing sense _does_ mean Windows.
