Damn, the fact that we COULD have seen dinosaurs like Baryonyx or Herrerasaurus back in 1993 is extremely frustrating considering the fact we had to wait 25 years for the Barry and are still waiting for Herrera, Proceratosaurus and all the other dinos on the list.

I personally believe that Jurassic Park Europe would probably have been located on the Isle of Wight in England. The Isle of Wight is after all known as the "Jurassic Island" for it's rich fossil beds of Jurassic and Cretaceous Dinosaurs. It is worth noting that Baryonyx, Metriacanthosaurus and Proceratosaurus are all British Dinosaurs, so it would make some sense for them to be a part of the park. Britain is also where dinosaurs were first discovered and identified, so with that rich history, I feel that the Isle of Wight would be an ideal location for Jurassic Park Europe.

Granted, there's always differences between the book and the films, but if we go by the original novel, then dinosaurs like Apatosaurus, Camarasaurus (reportedly replacing Apatosaurus in some versions), Callovosaurus, (replacing Microceratus in some versions) Dryosaurus, Euoplocephalus, Hadrosaurus, Maiasaura, Microceratus (called "Microceratops"), Othnielia, Procomsognathus, and Styracosaurus might have been planned for the park at some point (or even the expansions), since they were part of the original 15 genera already in the park in the novel (including the pterosaur Cearadactylus). We might also consider Coelurus (mentioned as an unhatched, "possible Coelurosaurus" in the first novel) as a definite for the Isla Nublar park, while Carnotaurus, Hypsilophodon, Mussaurus, and Pachycephalosaurus from the second novel could have been possible attractions at Nublar or the other parks Hammond planned.

I definitely think they would have divided the dinosaurs they cloned on Sorna between several different islands. The number of Tyrannosaurs on Sorna alone suggests there were going to be multiple parks, since the JP exhibit was built to only house 2 and we know that at least 3-4 were cloned as far as hard film canon goes (7 if you count trespasser)

Back when Jurassic Park came out they had dinosaurs/prehistoric reptiles that never made it in the JP1 movie. But along with them & the die-cast metal miniatures were trading collector's cards that had some of the canon on the back plus some fantastic art including the raft scene in the book which back then would have been hard to transfer to live action. I recall even the paddock scene for the Rex was hard due to the animatronic Rex would have to be dried for the water would cause the prop to shudder which would have been noticed upon release of the movie in theaters.

I enjoy your channel. But your introductory animation with the accompanied sounds, are anything but pleasant. I also feel it betrays the maturity and sophistication of your content. Thank you

If I could add one more dinosaur to this list. It would be styracasaurus (in-gen level spelling) because it was in the novels and it was the first ceratopsian I ever heard of.

What are the odds of you being able to release an unofficial Book? Like a Jurassic park universe companion encyclopaedia? Can Jack Ewins pull some strings? I honestly believe that if you started a kickstarter campaign, the fan base is now united (and big enough) to support you!
The Jurassic fan base feels stronger than ever right now!

Yay, the little raptor is back in the intro....
Any worldwide JP's would have to be in warmer climates so the UK is out. Probably Spaun or Portugal for Europe.

As a kid I was wondering endlessly about which other dino's were roaming around Isla Nublar. All those species they could have encountered if they had gone to different parts of the island...

Hey Klayton. Where do you think the Hammond and InGen would have built J.P Europe?
I recon another island for safety, e.g. Britain, or in the Mediterranean, so it would be nice and warm for the dinosaurs.
Idea for a future video maybe...
Keep up the good work mate!

If you remember in the book towards the end Grant and the kids went on a raft and went through the aviary which had vicious animals inside. This seen was cut from the movie.

Do you mean that the dinos were cloned on nublar or cloned on sorna aswell
But anyway it would get wiped out by hurricane callrisa (the one that wiped out the worker vilage)

If we're going by the book; Compys and Pteranodons were both definitely on Nublar (among others)

  • @marwansobhy7050

Ingen would have been wise to
Start the park out with some nice herbivores. Im talking gallis, trikes, stegos, brachis, meminchis, dryos, pachys, styracos, corythos, paras, etc. A few compys and maybe just one raptor would've been fine aswell, but nothing too big. Also, add another, entirely different section of the park for carns. Something far away from the vistor bunker with only a few guests at time. Where you can keep the raptors, rex, barys and allos all with very heavy fortified fences.

I think the stego was definitely going to be on Nublar. We know Sorna was the true breeding ground so it makes sense they would only have embryos meant for that island since it has its own smaller hatchery. As for the pteranodon, we see it on the mural of the Nublar resort on Sorna, so I think it was meant for Nublar as well. I think Hammond would have wanted to build up a solid roster of animals for Nublar first to get the capital to back the construction of other parks. Remember, his moto was "spare no expense", so he probably meant to have those other parks just as high quality as Nublar.
