most of those beacon offenses seem very easy to defend against by simply putting some missiles to cover the tower though, rather than dedicating troops to it
Insane. This game has so many interesting interactions, and virtually none of it is random or luck. There's so much skill to develope and perfect. I really hope it continues to grow, and we get a solid competitive scene. Some of those plays are just so beautiful. This reminds me of the "stupid plays" video, where you set up the war factory front left, and after they built a ton of forts around it, you moved it to the right tower, and then oiled the middle of your own field, to slow the forts and completely nullify the loss of your turret. My mind was blown. The creativity ceiling is so very high.
Holy moly, that is insane! At one point I just had a wide grin on my face because I can only imagine how incredibly annoying those beaconed wasps are to play against
This is your best video by far! There's so much that you can do with beacons and I had no idea. Mine were always just "beacon to the enemy tower" so I mostly skipped. For sure will help a lot in my lower MMR bracket
You’re amazing man. Absolute gem of a RUclips channel. And your little rat is hilarious. Grubby got me into this game, but your channel made me actually good at it 😂
Addicted to this game and wanting to learn more/understand why I win or lose some matches that aren't clear so decided to look up some guides. Came here and already subbing, this is super helpful (I had no idea even about the beacon at my beginner mmr!)
Holymoly. Watched only the 13min and learned so much (will watch rest tomorrow). I wish game had better tutorials that would teach all this crucial info. It easily could have 3 different mobile beacon missions that would teach noob to avoid these mistakes people generally do. I know tutorials can't teach everything but c'mon it doesn't even teach how to buy selling option from tower. Good job rat - ur guides are among best ones!
I believe you can also use it to turn units to face more important threats and then cancel it before deployment and use it somewhere else or not at all, but the units will remain turned. Useful for slow turning units like the giants that you want to start the game facing the right way.
People are still arguing about whether this is the case. Was there ever a statement from the developer on this? In Counterstrike, for example, you can only bunny hop with crazy special key moves, which is officially allowed as long as you don't use scripts. At least I think so. So is it a bug or is it part of the game? ^^
Ok so first i want to say, thank you for explaining the mechanics. Its so hard to figure shit out in this game because its only hinted at. Secondly, i always thought war factory cannons could only shoot in an arc, because that made sense to me. That its because it doesnt move far enough to use them never occured to me ?
glad to be of help! Yea when one unit is on the edge of the range only 2 cannons shoot, sometimes even 1 (out of 4) so if nothing is moving towards the factory (like a crawler) and it stays still the cannons are not working so you lose like 1/2 or even 3/4 dps. If you beacon it forward the back cannons are in range very fast

The first phoenix example makes no sense from the game side. Why did they stop for the fangs if the beacon was to long but did not stop after removing the fortress?
@@SurreyEZ thx for the fast answer but I mean these two parts: 3:53 - Phoenix stops to shoot at the fangs 5:22 - Phoenix passed the fangs Also it looks like there is something missing at 40:49.
@@SurreyEZ my bad wording. In the first it keeps shooting on the fangs because you set the beacon to far and the phoenix will stay on the point an keep shooing to the closes target as long as they dont get the end of the beacon (as I know now from your explanation). In the sec clip after removing the fortress. It looks like its the same situation with the fangs but the phoenix keep moving. It looks like they won´t stop until they reached the first quarter of a full beacon. Its not like I want to prove you wrong its more like that I dont´get the difference here. May be they are a little closer in one situation...?
Hi Rat, can you explain me this pull? ruclips.net/video/DLAbkQMEmZc/видео.html how does it happen? ive made short out of it, idk how they pulled like this, no beacon was used.

This is the highest mmr tutorial out there. High lvl gaming ❤ beaconing is an artform. Awesome.
Impressive! So clear and super useful, thank you - this should be in-game tutorial!
i had absolutely no idea about those subtle positioning mechanics and enemy interactions. I just thought it moved where you clicked.
Great tutorial. I've been playing for months and I learnt a lot here!
Thank you Rat for the tutorials. It's helping alot towards learning this beautiful game.

from one of the towers you can unlock it. Second one you can get from the reinforcement cards if it's offered
could you upload the tuturial without all the music? :)

the fortress was in the beacon path and in the phoenix range so the phoenix stop and target the closest target
