I just throw an empty pop can, beer can, or plastic pop bottle etc in the bottom then place the next bucket on top. Almost no weight and most folks have something like that readily available. Works great.
I never stop laughing when I see people BUYING 5 gallon Buckets at Lowes and Harbor Freight. We live in the wilderness so we store anything that attracts wildlife in food safe Buckets. (Dog food, Cat food, Flour, rice, sugar, the list goes on and on). Never paid for one. EVERY restaurant (not McDonald’s or fast Food) has STACKS of food grade 5 gallon buckets. And if you ask nice they’ll usually GIVE you more buckets than you can handle. With lids! Cheers
Love it, thanks for the insight. As long as the buckets are from the same manufacturer in the same stack, you can get them apart with one of the techniques in the 3 different episodes we've published on this subject. Thanks for writing. Best, DFJ
I use a lot of these buckets for my business. I simply cut strips of broken ratchet strap material and simply lay 1 piece over the edge of the bucket. Works like a charm and found another use for something that was going to be otherwise useless.
Great channel and hosting. Try garden hose blast to fill air pocket. Air temp in mid day expands plastic, so early am would help. Also i use wood blocks, confirming it works.
Take a length of paper towels, newspaper, or whatever that is a little greater than the depth of your bucket. Then roll them into a tube lengthwise and put it between the buckets. It will flatten, but it breaks the suction cheap and easy. A strip of cardboard would do the same thing.
If your buckets are already stuck together while you watch this, you can get them apart by shooting air from your air compressor into the gap between the buckets. This might also work with a can of duster.

Great idea - thanks for jumping in and sharing. Best, DFJ

Also, grocery stores that have a deli and cake decorating will give icing buckets when they have them.
Clearly it’s a design problem. Why can’t the manufacturers fix this?
Got me there....

Good one! I certainty have ratchet strap material around here! Best, DFJ

Air pressure if you have a compressor
Yes, indeed. We show that method in one of the earlier episodes in this series.
Flip the stack upside down. Stand on the handle of the bucket near the ground. Pull the top bucket up. That simple.
Love it!

Thanks for this!
Thumbs down because tip #1 was brute strength…
Thanks for weighing in. You might like the other episodes that preceded this one, as there are a range of methods. Best, DFJ
A used cottage cheers container…..with lid🥴
Great idea!
"promo sm" 🤩
You can make a stuckit bucket with a coat hanger or a piece of wire 💥👊👍
Indeed. Thanks for writing. Best, DFJ
Thanks for the links below the video!
Our pleasure!
Thank you cute Grandpa Jay
Aw garsh..... (blushing)
If you are not storing liquids, drill a small hole in the bottom of the pail. Easy to patch with a soldering iron.
Great idea!
So your only suggestion is "brute force" ... all the other tips are prevention not remedy. sad.
Check out the other episodes, this is a developing series as viewers give solutions to add to what we've put out there already. Best, DFJ

Right on!
Not everybody possesses an air compressor....😮
@@martintheron1386 that’s why I mentioned that it might also work with a can of duster.
