  • This is the fourth episode on our series discussing the history of the Buckner Rocker Jet reaction drive (vertical impact) sprinkler that shows in action each version of this iconic sprinkler Buckner created over the product line's lifespan. In this episode, we add the names William Kimbro and Edwin McElhenie to John Royer as we discuss patents related to improvements made in the sprinkler.
We are up to the second series of part circle rocker jet sprinklers made by Buckner, roughly covering from 1957-1965. This series included a 1/2" sprinkler, the 503, a 3/4" sprinkler, the 512, and a 1" sprinkler, the 522. All were capable of true full circle or adjustable part circle operation, and we show each in operation.
