The unbeatable advantage of that canvas swag to me is that with canvas, you get a tent climate like with nothing else. Weight would not matter much to me if car camping. If you absolutely want it to be a bit more compact - ditch the mattress for an inflatable version.
It is also possible to "misuse" the window covers at both end for pockets, if you unzip them about half way. The hoods on both ends are usually sufficient to keep rain away and your stuff hidden out of sight.

Being elevated off the ground has its advantages however these cot style tents still need a flat surface to work whereas the Heaven hammock tent only needs two trees which makes it way more flexible. I own both but would still be interested to hear your opinion in a video comparing them. You're really hitting it out of the park with your latest videos.

The 2 man Teton doesn’t use 2 xxl cots it uses 2 Teton universal cots. I have the one man and love it is very roomy, has been through some serious rains and kept me bone dry. Very detailed video thanks.

So on your 23 zero did it come with those poles on the end as they look like the ones that come on the bandit from 23 zero I like the polls you have a lot better than the dome poles or half circle poles? Thanks for putting this together. Really helped me solidify on what set up. I’m getting for my car camp.

Have you used the Kakadu in the rain? Wondering if rain puddles on the flat top rain fly. Also was looking at the Teton and would like to know your pick of the two. Thanks

@@foolboy304 have not had the Kakadu in the rain yet, but the head of the tent is higher than the foot end. I prefer the Kakadu over the teton
