I have used this setup for the past two years. The tent itself is not greaf quality, but serviceable for the price you pay. I cannot emphasize enough how good it is to be off the ground when the rain comes. None of your things get wet. The fact that the cot is extremely comfortable is also a reason to buy. I've also used the cot in the house for a month and its always a good night's sleep. It's the size of a twin me mattress. The flexibility and utility of this setup makes it worth it. I also have the matching Teton roll up pad that fits the cot, and it's great quality. The only complaint I have is that the Vista 1 tent feels a bit cheap compared to other tents I own, like my Kelty Late Start.
I've had my vista 1 for prob 6-8 yrs, love it and works and looks like new. I do the same set up on the cot. I haven't added the extra rain fly, instead I went with a large tarp. I think your set up is better, in the rain, certainly dryer.
Im debating on getting the vista 1 to pair with the cot. Do you have any issues body length wise? Im 5”11 and wanted to see if the tent was I could sleep with the legs out.
I have found that this tent bath tub floor is so thin that you CANNOT say it's waterproof! For Rainy weather, It's best used elevated like on a cot just away from wet or soaked floor
Its a good idea to get the extra long rainfly, especially if it starts to rain. Ive seen people talk about rain getting between the cot and the tent with the regular rain fly
What are u supposed to do when one of those fiberglass poles break? Do they have pole replacement options or do you have to buy a brand new tent setup? Fiberglass cracks and snaps easily in colder weather

@@sqd8r it is a pretty good set up, a large tarp would offer a dry place before entering the tent.
Nice quick set up. Any problems with fiberglass poles? Are tent poles replaceable if broken?

Which do you prefer your swag on a cot or this Teton combo? Are you gonna try a Haven on a cot?
@@PaPops i have tried the Haven on a cot, very comfy. There will be a video in a couple weeks where I compare 3 cot setups and show which I prefer.
Awesome, I look forward to it.
