This is when he was young but he already consumed what others older generation took them so many years of their life. With all do credit to older keyboard players Joey gave us the best of all. But sad he left this world so soon but his legacy livs forever. God bless his soul in heaven may be they need a great pipe organist out there. Joey will do that happily in heaven.

A true prodigy and successor to the great organists of the baby boomer era, he's like the second coming of Groove Holmes, Jack McDuff and he literally knocked on the door to that elite club, pushed it open and walked in to introduce himself and announce his arrival as a high school kid and he's the true heir of all that greatness and outside of the best classical organists alive today, i don't know of anyone today who is on par with this virtuoso organist in the jazz idiome, please inform me if i missed someone who needed mention folks, thanks!

Pop played with greats like Robbie Robertson, Ronnie Hawkins, has his own bands, and carried that Hammond to gigs, along with the Leslie cabinets. Crazy. Fell asleep to the sound of his band practices. Joey D sure could play those keys man. Damn.
