I enjoy my own company in my own personal space. It took me a long time to figure this thing out. Guarding the heart is one of the best lessons I have learned. It took awhile, but I learned.

Great message. As a Christian woman and an empath, I often felt guilty for letting certain people go in my life. Sometimes when you're nice and accommodating, people (women included) take their unhappiness or frustrations in life out on you. They talk to you any kind of way and expect you to excuse it for the sake of friendship or a romantic relationship. As you get older, you learn that it's okay to walk away and keep people in prayer to protect your heart. You don't have to be a doormat to be friends with people. It's toxic and unhealthy. Caring for yourself sometimes means being alone for a while. Life is short and having peace is a blessing.

Me too. I got to the root of the problem and now I see clearly that I have been conditioned and aptly trained to accept abuse guised as love by my own family. Now I choose very carefully who I allow into my life.

I'm an empath, and unfortunatlly, my blood tie family has emotionally abused me they have only distain for me, and have heard many of my humble appologys, yet they never think they are in the wrong, and I've been sooo emotionally, mentally, and spiritually abused, by them and it only got worse when I gave my life and heart to Jesus. So I've gone N/C because they have NPD I've removed myself as their scapegoat🐐 They totally vilify me.
