To those who didn't succeed with this. It's because Rockstar has fixed this. You get to fix it when you update and patch your GTA V game.
Why are you going through this so fast? Your intention is to show us how to do this right?
U must find a stock having percentage between -50% - -120%. Then do what i did. !!This MAY NOT work in GTA Online!!
Oh thanks. Do this work on Franklin? Or have to follow ur way to do it as Michael. Don't worry I do it on story mode
U can do it on anybody.But CAUTION!!!
1. U must do it offline without internet connected
2. Ur GTA V application must not be updated. if it is already updated u might wanna delete it but ur progression will also be deleted

if u guys want to do this u need to delete ur game and updates and reinstall it without ur ps4 being online and then do this trick, i believe u have to have completed the life invaders mission which is after the heist i think

To All Players Who Have Already Updated Follow Carefully...(Important steps are capitalized)
{WARNING IF ITS UR FIRST TIME USING STOCK MART DONT FOLLOW }
1 Quick SAVE THEN Buy the best Stock Market u can find
2. Spend all of your money when u buy the Stock Market
3.Sleep or kill ur character after you buy the Stock market
(or if u have online quick hold LEFT button and switch to ur online character and quick spam 'O' in ur PS4 Console or 'B' if Xbox and that will take u back Gta 5 Storymode (After 24 Hrs)
4. Go to Stock market and sell all.
There u got ur money hope it helped you only If ur Careful cz its kinda confusing.. But if u lost ur money (bcz of ur carelessness) u can load game in the Options>Game>LoadGame.

Dude why you didnt just do 1 assasination mission and save others after complete game buy stocks before assasinations exept 4assasination

Then you'll have to start over.

It works for me on PS4... i haven't try it out with an updated version but you definetely have to do it after the Life Invader mission.

Braun Stout if u download the game from the internet it won't happen cuz u r downloading the latest version. For this method to work u should get a physical copy from 2014 for ur ps4 or xbone. I don't know how to check the manufacturing date however it must be from 2014 or early 2015 cuz later copies come with the fix (Not work on PC at all)

so after ten sleeps it was still negative so every sleep after i checked the market, the highest i got was 0.96 which was crap lol
ok so after about 40 sleeps etc u see the market changes but no nothing that makes money so in the end i had a loss of 0.53 before i decided to give up. its all patched
