can the SKAA PRO TRANSMITTER alone be used to wirelessly send audio from the dj table straight to the soundbok 4 without the subwoofer from ska or only with the subwoofer?
Hi, I have two Soundboks 4 and wondering is there will be a significant difference if I add a Death From Below to them, so is there a samples with and without the subwoofer , thank you ?
Hiya! It's always going to be hard to judge the difference over a phone speaker or even through headphones - but we can confirm it's a significant extension in the low end, especially when using it in the SOUNDBOKS specific EQ preset. We have a couple of shorts on our channel going over the difference with and without!
Yes. Connect your device(s) to the XLR/line jacks on the back of Soundboks. (You may need to configure the inputs levels and such from the Soudnboks app first). Then put the Soundboks in HOST mode, which will make it a SKAA Nadja hub transmitter. Then just turn on the DFB and it should bond to SB and grab it's audio as well.
Big question, can you play music from the DFB Death From Below Subwoofer while it is plugged in to charge? Or only when it's not plugged in and just using the internal battery?
Absolutely! You can charge while in use. If you use it that way all the time, it's recommended to run from battery power alone once per month to extend the life of the battery.
They are good for over 20 hours at normal listening levels, but if you're playing max volume, you're looking at around 4 hours. Take it down a bit from max volume and you should be able to get some more time out of them. For the DFB specifically, you can also get more battery life by using the "Outdoor" EQ preset which cuts some of the lowest sub frequencies that just get soaked up in outdoor spaces. It is possible to use both Soundboks and DFB while plugged into power if needed. Just don't use Soundboks on power alone, make sure the battery is plugged in - a recommendation from the Soundboks manual.

Both Soundoks 4 and DFB are SKAA receivers. So yes. You can send to either SB or DFB, or both simultaneously.

How long does the battery last for Tekk/Techno/Hardtechno etc.? Can you use a car battery as an energy source?

I've just done an outdoor techno/house party.... full bore for 6 hours... Still 3 bars left on battery
