Scott. Seriously speaking here. What impresses me most is YOU bro. I've been a subscriber for years now, and frankly, I'm amazed by YOUR maturation as a Utuber as well as just a gear geek on roids! Wonderful musician to boot. I appreciate you so very much and what you do for us out here in the wild. SKAA... very kewl. I recently paid off my EV50M with money made from gigs. I love my EV, purchased on your recommendation, and of course, my own due diligence ;) Now I'll do some further research on SCAA. THANKS SO MUCH for all U do. (Thumbs up and kneeling to the AlgoGods) Best, jb
Thanks Jack, I sincerely appreciate those kind words. It’s been a crazy journey! And I always am fueled by “getting better” at something so I’m really glad it comes across that way :) thanks a bunch man. And yeah those EVs are sooooo good! My favorite sounding speaker for sure. I’m working on a video on how I attach my lights to the top of the speakers actually. So it’s sub, speakers, lights, all in one column. Pretty sweet! It’s by a company called BoogieTec if you want to check it out 🤘
@@ScottUhlMusic LOL I really enjoy your videos. I'm a bass player. I probably will never need any of this equipment you review but I enjoy learning about the latest gear plus you are very clear and thorough.
I'm such a cork sniffer and tone snob, and my friends and bandmates can be even more so. But the number of different ways you've gotten "good enough to entertain" with wireless, cheap, battery, automated, and other non-elitist types of work is just staggering. I'm loving the idea of rolling up to the show, not pulling any XLR or DMX or electrical cables, and just playing Star Trek-style without anything being connected to anything.

A DFB sub with a physical input would make this insanely useful. Imagine just using pro mode and the Streetheart wired to the tops and subs for the best of both worlds.
Hi Scott! Great video as always! I love that you give the perspective of both bands and DJs. So many RUclipsrs talk from a DJ perspective and then you have to try to translate it to a band situation. It would be interesting to see you try the Yorkville EXM Mobile range which is similar to this, with a battery-powered 2x8 sub and a choice of battery-powered tops. No built-in wireless (except Bluetooth), but no power cables, and the peace of mind of physical inputs... I wonder if it could work for small events with a full band
Interesting! I haven’t heard of that one. But this is the first time I’ve seen a full PA with built in wireless and battery powered of this size. I’ve reviewed the Bose S1 pro which is much smaller but has two built in wireless
This is such a cool system Gonna look into getting it I hate running long cables Thank you scott for the weekly reviews Yours is the first video I watch every Tuesday
Great review of the sound gear. Looks solid. After watching many of Scott's videos on wireless gear, this is the first time I've seen the wireless not challenged. SKAA uses 2.4GHz, the same as WiFi. Ok in an environment where venue WiFi is poor or non-existent and guests have their phone WiFi switched off. Lots of 2.4GHz gear works really well in ideal environments, then drops to a couple of feet of range when hundreds of other devices join the party. The external antennas and elevated line of sight placement of SKAA devices would definitely give these an advantage. Directional 2.4GHz antennas should also help reduce being blocked by other other devices between the transmitters and receivers.
I should have looked into that more, and that’s fair. It is 2.4Ghz and I have a lot of videos on it, but it uses something called “Walking Frequency Diversity” which is a patented technology. But you are definitely correct, line of sight is always best!
Thanks, once again... for giving me G.A.S.!!! 😂😂 So much great stuff out there and so little money... 😅 I'm discovering it all thanks to you. Gonna need many more gigs to gear up!! You rock, bro!
Scott, I just ordered the Phenyx PTU X wireless transmitter/receiver to connect to my Bose L1 pros. How does the SKAA system compare? Again, great video!
Nice! That’s a great setup too! These speakers are larger than the Bose and obviously this setup has subs. Both are great but different speakers for different setups 👍
Way to go Scott!!! Interesting video! Definitely the future of portable audio. I’ve never heard of Skaa Audio before and will looking into further. Do you know what frquency Skaa transmits at or is it proprietary?
@ Good to know. I did a little digging and said “CD type quality audio with low latency. Use in higher-end home audio.” Definitely a technology to keep an eye on.
Great to see some Skaa gear on the channel Scott. Even though they are a Canadian company, nobody here seems to know about them. I have a number of their products and they work great, with amazing battery life.
@@ScottUhlMusic I have a Diz, Akiko Pro, and a pair of A-Link plus. I use them for sending audio from a ceiling mounted projector to powered speakers for film screenings, as well as sending audio from a dj mixer straight into a live streaming camera on the other side of the room. It’s on the 2.4GHz band but utilizes a patented Walking Diversity Frequency, that’s a whole new thing for me as well. Thanks for watching! I would be curious how many channels are available as well
Great review, Scott! Do you think an IEM wireless system could work for transmitting from mixer to speakers, or would the SKAA system be a more reliable and better option?
Thanks! And they make wireless solutions for PA systems already. The Shure SLXD portable is a great option. You technically could use in ear monitors as well, but I like the SLXD portable personally

I feel a slight amount of latency in the mains could actually be beneficial, as it might help mitigate any potential feedback issues and improve the overall system stability. Plus if it’s not a showstopper and everyone is enjoying their time sounds like a win!
Very interesting technology that I haven't heard of previously. I know that CME is working on a new technology they call "instant Wireless Audio" (IWA): ultra low < 3ms latency and up to lossless 24-bit/48kHz stereo signal. Still in development.
I guess it's good that I'm married to a CPA who notices every expense because i would blow all of our money just on the toys in your videos. I want this now...
Interesting tech, never heard of it, looks promising. Although the subwoofer having no analog ins is really dumb. Having no wired backup is silly, although, you can get by on a show without a sub, so maybe not a big deal.

I know it isn't the same but I would be a bit more comfortable with something like wireless IEM systems or something like the Alto stealth for much lower latency if I needed something this for my existing wired speakers
@@ScottUhlMusic something like the Sennheiser SK100/ EK100 could achieve something similar by tuning into the same frequency on multiple receivers if you're just running mono. It probably could do larger distance but it would definitely cost a bit more than this system.

Does the subwoofer have an XLR output? Specifically, can it function as a receiver to route audio signals to other speakers, such as battery-powered tops like the Everse 8? Wanted to know if it supports XLR connectivity for this purpose.
Scott, question. To use SKAA in Pro 19ms mode to drive FOH from mixer is the following correct? Connect Mixer Main L Out to Dani In 1 and Mixer Main R Out to Dani In 2. Then because the FOH are far apart I need two Streethearts right? I would bond the 2 Streethearts to the one Dani transmitter. Then connect FOH L speaker to first Streetheart Out 1 and FOH R speaker to second Streetheart Out 2? I guess my question is does the Dani IN 1 always appear at the Streetheart Out 1 and the Dani In 2 always appear at the Streetcar Out 2 of ALL the bonded Streethearts? UPDATE: I read thru the owners manual and I think I got the answer, Using the phone app, you can configure the Streetheart to listen to L/R (default, which I think would be 1 and 2 on the Dani), or just listen to L(1) or R(2), or MONO (both L and R at the same time).
With the price of the transmitter in the receiver why not just use a Sennheiser EWD transmitter and receiver I feel like you get a lot more performance a lot more range and a lot more versatility cuz you can also use it as a lav or microphone
