Lets be honest. After a few days, an official video acknowledging bugs, giving infos, troubleshooting, workaround is a state-of-the-art communication from a dev studio. Props to you guys ! You're so good to us, ungrateful gamerz.
Farewell Jace! Wish you the best on your next endeavors!! Thank you for all that you have done to make Satisfactory what it is and help build such an amazing community
I'm kind of curious if he'll make the occasional guest appearance, admittedly he'll be kind of, I don't want to say "competitive" in the game development industry.
It'd be really handy if the experimental build had a "dump settings to clipboard" button so you could easily submit every setting with the ticket information 😉
but when you put something in the log description like "it's was slower than before and then it just crashed" it's unclear what "before" means. did you upgrade some hardware? was there a driver update or some other software update? did any settings change? are you comparing U8 to U7 or this session in U8 to the one 2 minutes ago in U8 or the same session just earlier?
@@eris902 That still won't show what the settings were on the "Update 7 install" you might be comparing performance to. It just represents what your settings are in the running version upon crash. Also, just "bad performance" doesn't cause a dump to be made in the first place.
I have to say ive had a very buggy experience with this update so far, and its honestly been inspirational seeing how much y'all handle before pushing to the main branch. I have always said Satisfactory is the most polished early access game i've played and that is is more bug free than most games I play. Its been a treat seeing the other side of that. Many of the bugs I saw were also already on the QA site it looked like, so that is nice. Thanks for all ya'll do!
Vamonos Jace. I haven't been around for too long, only have like 200 hours in the game (rookie numbers, I know). But you are such a gem, the whole team really. Such great communication, actually listening to the community. Amazing! So sad to see you go. However, like you said, we will be in great hands still.
I have to admit, during the final "Vamonos" and the realization that it was probably the last video, I had a little tear to shed. Wish you the best for the guild.
Got me with the end... 😢 I'm not crying you're crying!!! 😭😭😭 I know we're gonna see more of you elsewhere, but watching you sign off for maybe the last time still brings the feels. I know Coffee Stain will be fine, but whomever is taking over has some HUGE shoes to fill. This community is so amazing because of the work that you and all the crew have done to build it by being in touch with the fans/players and actually listening.
Thank you, Jace for everything that you have done to help make this amazing community what it is. Gonna miss the heck out of you but wish you all the very best for all your future endeavours and shenanigans. You're gonna do all the awesome things! Much love for ya buddy! Take care. ❤
FXAA is honestly the best one. I know it's the weakest form of Anti. But it's the only form of AA that doesn't blur the dang textures. I rather have some jaggies that make shadows flicker on grass. Than everything look muddy. Thank you for fully implementing it. It was such a pain to get around the blurry textures in the older options.
You can edit the config file to reduce to weight of TAA frame and add sharpening to combat the blur. All games with with temporal upscaling should include a sharpening slider. And they should add DLSS while they're at it. It's available as a plugin for UE4/5 so extremely easy to implement. FXAA is ok if you run at native resolution, but it doesn't do any upscaling, so you're stuck with the default scaling if you run at a lower res. Of course you can change the scaling method with edits to the config file as well, but at that point using TAAU/TSR for upscaling will produce better results.
Thank you Jace. I'm an SCV from Starcraft who really fell in love with the Game randomly. I looked for the community page to learn more and found your cheerful demeanor and honest canter so fun to watch. Happy trails on your future adventures!
Thank you for being here for us, we will miss you also update 8 sounds like fun, even tho it will run worse on very low spec machines. i always get sad if something old is not any longer supportet.
yeah I hope they will support it officially in the futue, it really creates a more immersive experience (while all inside rooms are way too dark by default rn)

I 100% agree, ceiling lights give off light to linearly, even without lumen. I wonder if there's a performance reason to cut down on how much processing goes into lighting
@@tacoterrorizer1862 I would say this would probably be kinda it. But I think its more along the lines of getting it optimized and all that. They probably cut it down a little until they get the proper lighting optimized.
Really? I've always felt that without lumen things are way brighter than they should be. You can have a room completely walled off and without a single light, and see everything clearly. I think I have my factory lights set to about 20% intensity because otherwise everything is white. (And my game brightness setting is below the midpoint)
I would like to have an ambience slider. Lumen is very realistic as per inter-object reflection but it fails to capture the full effect of radiosity solutions; that a little bit of light leaks absolutely everywhere. Ambient lighting is a terrible hack but it is one that works. Being able to add just a little bit of ambient light back in would allow fully dramatic lighting effects without things like the backside of a machine standing in front of an entire wall of windows being pitch black
Can't remember another game dev that address their experimental build issues like this and are giving pointers to the gamers and helping like this. Huge Respect!
Jace, you will be missed. You have managed to create amazing videos that are both enjoyable to watch and informative. I have never seen a community management group that has aced the process as well as you have. Good luck on your new project and I’ll be watching.

I justed wanted to leave a comment about the Keybinding Issue, actually there are some Bugs in U8 about it, please have a look. Read different comments and different players have some trouble with their Keybinding setup ( so do I). Keep up the good work.
Really happy to see you guys talking about issues with current update, bug one big think i saw you neglected to mention was the issue with wall outlets on pillars. Has that been fixed as well?
Great work team! Had this issue with D3D12Util - constant crashes. Switching to Vulkan solved the problem - not even one crash since the switch in Options. I am on RTX 3070 Ti and looks like the issue is connected to DirectX 12.
I will say, the CSS communication about these things is S-tier, Gold Standard. Keep up the great work! One thing I wish there would be is a button within settings to just export all current settings to a text file that we can either copy-paste or attach with bug reports. And VAMANOS JACE! Wow my allergies came back at the end of the video, or maybe something got in both my eyes at once. Thanks Jace, helps a lot!!! 💜💜💜
Thanks Coffee Stain, Loving the update!
I justed wanted to leave a comment about the Keybinding Issue, actually there are some Bugs in U8 about it, please have a look. Read different comments and different players have some trouble with their Keybinding setup ( so do I). Keep up the good work.

Me: We are Jace
Really happy to see you guys talking about issues with current update, bug one big think i saw you neglected to mention was the issue with wall outlets on pillars. Has that been fixed as well?
And farewell, Jace. Best wishes to you and for you.
Thanks Jace, it's been a pleasure.
Great work team! Had this issue with D3D12Util - constant crashes. Switching to Vulkan solved the problem - not even one crash since the switch in Options. I am on RTX 3070 Ti and looks like the issue is connected to DirectX 12.
Sliding on the power lines from towers is super fun and lethal, I had a blast!
Gonna miss you Jace, you did a great jobat CSS!
I will say, the CSS communication about these things is S-tier, Gold Standard. Keep up the great work!
One thing I wish there would be is a button within settings to just export all current settings to a text file that we can either copy-paste or attach with bug reports.
And VAMANOS JACE! HELPS A LOT! 🥹
