    Throw the original cluster in a box and put it on the shelf. Thanks for the video!

    I got the same style cluster for our 5000 after the original units hour meter failed while rolling over to 8000 hours. However I've not been too impressed, the first unit I bought the hour meter failed at around 90 hours so I got it replaced under warranty, the second unit lasted a bit longer (244 hours) till it failed but it was outside the year warranty at that point so I've just kept it in since. The fuel and temp gauges work just fine.

    I have the same problem with a aftermarket gauge cluster I put on a 4000. New wiring harness and sender. Tach reads high, coolant temp is high and the fuel gauge barely moves. It's a crap shoot anymore when you get parts.

      I need to go make a voltage stabilizer but I’m not finding solid info on what voltage the gauges are supposed to get.

    Wrong clock for that tractor i believe that was in the later 3600 and 4600, the 2000 and 3000 and so on had a clock with the hour meters below the rev meter, the fuel meter had 1/4 and 1/2 and 3/4.

    A lot of the problem I've ran into with using new Holland parts and components is that a lot of them are repackaged aftermarket parts with ridiculous pricing.

      Unfortunately parts quality is on the decline.

    Your engine low idle speed is either too slow or the tach is inaccurate.

    • @mjmcomputers
      @mjmcomputers  4 года назад

      May be tach, engine seems to idle about right.

    It's for the air cleaner restriction indicator. Your tractor is probably too old to have one -

    That idle speed is too low, if you speed it up your generator should work fine and the temp gauge will be correct. My 2600, 3600, 4000, and 7600 all idle at about 600 rpm on the gauges.

      I’ll try bumping it up, but the generator completely stopped working now. Pretty sure the brushes are worn out.

      MJM’s Workshop Try replacing the voltage regulator, we thought our generator was out for a few years on our 4000 and it ended up being a voltage regulator, they are pretty cheap online.

      Josh Morlock when I bought the tractor it didn’t charge, I tested the generator by powering it and it spun like a motor so generator was good. I replaced the voltage regulator and it started charging. Now it’s not charging and I tested the generator by powering it and it’s not spinning so hoping it’s just brushes.
