Today we do a install on a 1964 Ford 2000 tractor. Fresh order off the old eBay so this should go as smooth as glass, so come along and lets see how it goes.
Good job Junior. Sometimes you get it right with Ebay stuff and again you can end up with junk. Seems to be working great so drive the wheels off of it. Take care and have a blessed weekend and I'll see you on your next vidja.
Like the first baby steps on the tractor, little at a time. Funny, first thing I thought when I saw PJ’s on, what in the world😂 Then you say the same right after😂 Always need to be comfortable first!! Shorts for me year round. Sounds like she’s running pretty good, carb’ s can be tricky sometimes. Keep the tires rolling 👍🇺🇸
I just restored a 62. They made that style of 2000 1962, 1963 and 1964. Can’t kill em. They have some silly design issues that can be a headache like getting to the underside of the gas tank requires taking it all apart as far as the body panels, but they will take a beating and keep going. I painted mine back up to original and all new decals. New brakes, new starter, new carb, and many new small parts. I use it as a show rig some but I still use it for moving trailers around my land and I also use it to go to the back and shoot guns sometimes. Also take it on little trips down to Tractor Supply lol. Fun to drive
Just Subscribed. We installed one of those carbs on our super A. And it works great. We did a U tube video of the install. We bought two more to replace the carbs on our BF Avery and Vac Case tractors.
I've got a '64 Industrial 2000 with front loader. The original Marvel Shebler carb wasn't rebuildable as it had a hairline crack in it. Bought aftermarket carb from Amazon. Looks like the same one you have. Been running it almost 3 yrs now. Like you said, for the money,I can change it out now and then. The M/S rebuild kits fit it as well
I Just bought a ford 2000 like that. Yours either has a miss on one cylinder or it has an exhaust leak. The way it misses when you rev it is usually a sign of a weak spark.
She sounds like she is only running on 3 cylinders. Good job on installing new carb. I have the identical tractor that I have out over 200 hours brush hogging, it lost power and sounded like yours, found which cylinder was missing, changed spark plug and been running like a champ ever since. One other thing, if change gears after it is rolling you really take a chance of knocking a tooth off a gear, always come to a complete stop before changing gears. Any chance you would sell me your old carb? If so let me know, thanks and keep making videos.

I can remember that dad's tractor had a fuel shut off on the bottom of the tank with a copper line coming off of that to the carburetor.
Way to go Junior. She’s sounding like a 2000. Hopefully it’ll be a good one.
Sounds good JR..

So far so good on mine
That updraft carb is amazing
I put a different carburetor on my 600 it will go backwards perfect but when you try going forward it cuts out and dies I can't figure it out

Good to know thanks
Can you share which carb you bought on EBay? Screenshot with specifics would be helpful thanks.
Cheapest one I found
Looks like you’re almost ready for me to come pick it up from ya! Get a little more comfy seat on it and I’ll be headed up to get it
You likely figured it out by now bur sounds like you got a dead miss. Bad plug or...?
steel brake line works very well for a fuel line

Timing was off a little bit but got her fixed now

I have old marvel shelter carb you can have for $100
How's the carburetor holding up? I'm needing 1 and for that price I may try it also.
Fantastic, no complaints. Brushhogged 25 acres with no issues.
Good job! Could you not get DP to come help you put it on? 😀💯
He is a busy guy!
Your not running on all cylinders .
Thanks
