Respect to the guy under the tractor who raised such an amazing daughter. I'm 44 and I learn so much from her each time I need help with something.
I think that’s his wife my friend! Google her,you can see wedding pics, all kinds of pics,I thought the same for awhile,I do respect their service, and still buy parts from them, have a good day!

That must be why she refers to him as 'my dad'...
@@atticstattic :) :) :) I thought I heard that too. Now, back to concentrating on Engines.....
Rachel definitely is teacher material. She knows how to explain everything in detail where if you listen well you will be able to build your engine with no problem.
Best engine overhaul yet! Appreciate the detailed explanation and close-up shots of all the procedures. You and your Dad make a great team.
Truly awesome seeing daugther and father working on tractors
I always enjoy watching her videos.
Please keep up the great work.
Hi Rachel. I'm not in the tractor business, nor do i own a tractor LOL. Grew up driving an 8n though around the farm. Anyway, the point of my comment....I also have a channel focused in the motorcycle and auto world....and I wanted to compliment you on your videos and the content. Exceptionally well done....which is why I watch them. I do learn something new every time i watch...who knows if I'll ever use the info, but it's nice to gain knowledge nonetheless. I also like the fact you and your dad work together in building the business and doing the videos. Great to see a torch passed down. I built my first engine at 9 yrs old of course, with my dad...and thanks to him, it was the basis for what has become my career. Almost 30 years in my industry and I love it more everyday. Again...great job out there and congrats on your successes.
I'm impressed !!!!You go girl !!!!This is my first time seeing your sight and definitely not my last !!!
You are awesome! I had to look up several of your videos as I was working on my Jubilee!
Good job ford always made a good small tractor thats what we used on our farm when i was a kid
Beautiful smile, beautiful work!Well done!
Very good videos, I seen a bunch.
On my way to buy a Ford 2000 and feel secure to do so after these videos.
Great job unexplaining everything I get a lot out of your videos
You always make my day ! 😂 I’m still working my 9 to 5 and farming after work and on the weekends and looking forward leaving the 9 to 5 rat race and be happy on the farm
Not sure what I love more, watching Rachel work with her dad or seeing the old USA craftsman screwdrivers.
Nice video. I like to put a clean rag over the crank shaft when I'm honing the cylinder. Also sometimes you can just replace the piston pin if there's play and leave the bushing since a machine shop will rip you off.
I don't have a tractor to work on but I did enjoy watching you workon yours. I could never get my daughters to work with me on anything!
Your vids always give me urge to go pick up a ford just to play with......
Do it. Bring one back to life for another 60 years.
Great job by both very informational i just picked up a F 800 thats in need of a lot of work and you guys made my day, if i could say one thing that scares me is smacking two hammers together only from experience you can get some really nasty shards that fly off hardened surfaces. Please be careful thank you so much for the video.
great job! got to do this coming up soon.
Nice video! Thanks, Rachel! 👍🏻😘
WONDERFUL TEACHING GREAT JOB
Appreciate your knowledge and experience on these machines. Love the sounds of these Ford Tractors. Their awesome.
Rachel is the bomb, so smart , love her passion for what she does
Great job.
Do love a girl who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty. Like my middle daughter, so tomboy. Be proud of her.
Very nice work. thanks
Very thorough!
one thing I noticed is the Ring measuring in the bore was not pushed in with the piston. Measurements could be off if its not pushed in properly.. Just a small thing.. Great rebuild
BILLSTMAXX good eye. They make a plastic tool that gets the piston ring perfectly square inside the cylinder. You’re right, it is just a small thing. But peace of mind goes a long way
Sharp eye bill ! a floating connecting rod will have a little play that's why they have play it's called float play. however , there are connecting rods that are pressed together and the wrist pin will have zero play in them. would be a lot of work to rebuild your 2N .and make a complete video set. here in the states it's recommended to take multiple ring gap measurements top , middle , bottom. keep up the hard work bill on your 2N. I can't wait till you split your 2N.
can use a clean piston upside down to square it in bore with oil rings on from top, note when deglazing bores with hone, use clean oily rags in bottom of bore to keep grit off crankshaft for that is dynamite to engine, hone only the ring travel area and pull rags out then brake clean on a clean rag to clean bores and check for grit on crank. do not use air to clean. also check for ring bind in bottom ring travel area
You guys do such a good job on these. I thank you for the time you spent on these. And look forward to getting my tractor rebuilds started. I know where to get the parts! (-:
I am a mechanic of agricultural machinery in Poland. What company do you use oils and filters for agricultural machinery, cars on a farm. What oils and filters are the best in the US. Super video .
Greetings from Poland
Filters. Donaldson, Baldwin, CAT.
Oil. I'm not touching that subject.
For a tractor of this vintage... really anything is better than what they had back then. Just change the oil.
@@ShainAndrews Greetings from Poland. Polish farmer.
I wish you all the best .
Thank you very much
I see you missed #10 head bolt in your torque sequence. Hope you double-checked your torque before you capped it up. Love the videos. I can watch these all day. :)
I have a 54' Jubilee NAA and it needs another 134 engine. The guy died while it was being worked on (I doubt the tractor killed him). I don't know it's history. I just know his family brought it to the auction with a pallet of rusted up parts. So, it hasn't been touched in a long time. And engine parts are missing. eBay never lists oil pump pickup tubes.
Will a 172 or the bigger engine bolt directly in? And is there a difference in a 600 to like a 640? Or any other 100 series for that matter. I just want to know what models would work with my tractor. So I can look for the right parts tractor in the junk yard.
I have a Ford 4000 4-cyclinder Diesel, but have learned so much from following along in general with Rachel and Dan in this series. Thank you for all you do.
I have the same ('63). What year?
@@SamCatLu I believe it to be a late 1962-year model. ^~^
This is the most informative Jubilee video available on RUclips. Thanks for that.
#2 exhaust spring is upside down.
great video,
Rachel, could you share the ford Jubilee tractor cylinder head torque diagram?
Hypothetically, if you were to remove the oil pump, there would be an oil seal that goes from the pick up tube to the block, you can see the pick up tube at 4:59, where could one buy this seal? It’s bigger than the one that is used for the head.
If you are on a very vewry tight budget What would be the first 5 chnges you would make (in order of importance) to make tractor run better) Number 1 - new rings?
Gotta tell you, I really appreciated this video. I have a Hyster forklift that has the same small Ford 172 engine like the tractor in this video. I was having difficulty finding any information on sourcing parts while searching Hyster Engine. I stumbled upon this video and your website. So glad to find readily available parts. I'll be ordering some soon. Just followed you on your Instagram page as well. I'd like to see more posts from you guys on there if possible. Thank you for your efforts on making these videos. I too know the struggles. Keep it up. You gotta new fan.👍👍
I used one of her videos to rebuild a carburetor. Now I can’t stop watching them. Thank you. Jubilee owner
You will notice the valve springs have the coils wound tighter on one end.
That end goes against the head.
Great job Rachel and Dan.
I need to drop pan and check brging
Plus replace front crank seal
Do you have any rebuild videos on a 1972 Ford 3 cylinder 3000 series , I know it's a 27hp and I am mechanically Inclined I just need to view a video rebuild to make double sure I am doing it right the 1st time.
As always, an excellent well presented tutorial. As an owner of a 601 Workmaster, this is spot on information that I sincerely appreciate. My engine is one of the few things that doesn't need work after my 27 years of ownership, so please keep providing more info covering the 600 series. Your book on the Farmall Cub was instrumental on my getting my project Cub back looking and running like new. Thank you both for your efforts.
Alright Rachel, I've noticed you haven't given any love to Case Tractors. I need one of these spiffy videos about an inframe rebuild on a Case 570 with the 188d engine. love your videos!
Rachel please don't let your dad wire wheel anything without safety glasses. I am speaking from experience. Love your tutorials. Cheers
I'm confused. A seal was removed from the exhaust valve stem, but no seal was installed. Conversation noted the exhaust valve would get too hot for a seal. no seal results in oil consumption?
That young lady is amazing!
I do not agree with removing head bolts with an impact- especially when they are through holes into the water jackets. If they have buildup on the threads you can wallow-out the threads and ruin their ability to seal the coolant from leaking past.
By removing by hand you can gauge breakaway torque to determine the quality of the fastener and if it was clamping properly. Also you will feel resistance and be able to work it out carefully to avoid thread damage
Really a good video, also it's nice to see you working together. Thanks so much.🇺🇸
Rachel, do you have any videos on Massey Ferguson 210 ?
The most wholesome content on RUclips
got a question I'm putting rings and bearings in my ford 841 looks almost identical to the one you're doing here its a 172 gas. It has standard pistons and rings what I'm trying to find out is what size rings should I get The bearings I know for sure but the rings I'm wondering about I'm asking cause I don't know for sure the cylinders look fine its just my friend was saying they might need a tighter ring than what was in them, I'm nto sure so any help you give would be appreciated
How about a refresh for the flathead 8n?
I put rubber hose over the rod bolts when I install them. I couple inches extension past the bolt protects the crank journal. The right size hose stays on during installation but pulls off easily when done.
I wonder how many offers of marriage this angel receives?
Great video, Rachel and Dan. Thanks!
I have MF 382 , the engine is damage, I want replace it new engine, where can find out new engine for my tractor Massey Ferguson 382?
Rachel you are amazing!!! I bought a 600 but with propane and I think the motor is locked and I’m not a mechanic. But with your videos I’m wanting to dig into it and see if I can bring it back to life :)
Father daughter team, so awesome; heart warming. I came from a family where this could not have even been imagined.
Really enjoyed this! I've always had a love affair with farm tractors. Ford's, John Deere, Case, I love them all. BTW that Mobil Delvac 15w40 is very good oil. I use it in just about everything I have. From my little JD tiller with a 6hp Tecumseh to my Tractors. Including my 1997 F250 7.3 4x4 . That I purchased new. Now has over 265,000 miles. Never had ANY engine trouble from what so ever.
what a beauty....
I mean the tractor of course!! The girl is ok .
But that tractor, its a beauty
You are such an amazing young lady, I could not be more impressed.
Very thorough, as usual! Very clear and good tips. Please do a brake and axle seal on an 8N in your excellent style! Thanks for the great work, you’ll be my part source.
Hi Rick, we do have a tutorial available for purchase that pertains to the Ford brakes and axle seal, here: farmtractorrepair.com/collections/ford-dvds/products/ford-brake-repair-for-several-models
If you coat the opposite side of the gasket with nevr seize it will seal very well and not stick if you wish to remove it again.
Top dead center for each position to adjust it or just number 1 ?
Great info and job well done. Thanks for the post!
Hi, I'm a new subsciber to the channel, and I find it great. I need a part for my 1959 Ford 841. I need a oil delivery tube. I have the 172 engoine. I need Helpppp. TY
What brand gaskets do you recommend? I have found that makes a diff.
Hi Rachel, Good morning
How are you?
I have Ford 3600 diesel 3 slander
we rebuilt the engine, good power no
showing smoke but leeks coolant leeks from the cap, we replaced the cap it's still leaning.
you know what is wrong?
help me out, please 🙏
we're in Indianapolis, IN USA
Any new videos? A vid on 2000 model 4 cylinder would be appreciated very much. My new to me is supposed to be a 1972. D3JL 6015J engine.
We just moved to Goodrich, MI, and have a small farm off Dutch Road.
We stopped by the Steiner store in Lennon, Mi, and boy were we disappointed in the rudeness of its sales staff.
My husband took a picture of me sitting in the store and the sales clerk said there's no taking photos inside the store! He further went on to say they signed legal documentation to prevent photos from being taken.
We were berated and made to feel shame... (We won't be going back there again, and they should have a sign that says no cameras allowed!). Shame on Steiner ...
All head bolts the same length?
My jubilee is going to get a 182 block soon, I hope, could use a little more power, I haven't done it yet because I'm afraid of it using more gas, anyone know much about this
1000x smarter than me, wish you guys lived near by, 600 series has developed a slight headgasket leak
Great job very well explained. Thanks!!
Ya whoo! You made the video I've been waiting for!! THANK YOU!
I have a 1963 ford 2000 diesel. I need to put new piston rings. But i can't find anyone who carries them. Any recommendations
im having issues with the valves stickling. do i need to replace them? they seem okay after i cleaned everything, it also was ran with E-10, is that bad for the older tractors? hammer making me nervous, just had the surface machined.
wow, you are so amazing Rachel, i love all your knowledge, thank you
What is the neway part numbers so I can order the correct pilot and cutter? Thanks! Great videos and high quality parts!
Thanks for the detailed video this was exactly what I was hoping to find.
Your dad must be so proud for you blondie mechanic! Thanks for the knowledge that you share with us.
It would have been nice, if my deceased grandfather and uncle had a nice clean shop to overhaul their equipment, rather than a dirt-floored garage.
But they still got it done.
Do you or anyone you know on utube would be willing to replace a block on a1977 ford 9700 , i have the block
, thank you for all the info i hate to see this giant go out like that , as part's tractor !!
Oh my, smacking that head gasket surface with that hammer while removing the guides, not good!!!!!!
I don't own a tractor, and I don't even live on a farm. But I love watching these videos! Thank you Rachel and Dan.
woohoo, she runs good! purrs like a kitten! Nice work ya'll
I worked as a tractor mechanic over 16 years before changing careers into industrial hydraulics, building & servicing machinery for the offshore industry. Can' t count how many old fords I built up. A few complete restorations also, very enjoyable! My father-in-law passed several years ago. Hw had 2 ford tractors I worked on for him. One was a 1965 model 4000 diesel and the other was a 601 workmaster. He had a nice little 10 acre place and leased 44 acres to run some cows. The tractors have now set for 5-6 years, his youngest daughter lives on the property, her son went through training school to be a dieesel mechanic, the tractors are now in his hands, he is a very capable young fellow, I have great confidence he will take good care of 'papa's' tractors. It's seems you truly enjoy working on tractors, I wish you nothing but the best. Keep up the great work..
Now I want to buy a tractor, just so that I can repair it with Rachel 😍
One of my Favorite Tractors and engines...THANK YOU !
These old tractors need antifreeze changed out every 4 years and block flushing and radiator cleaning also but be very very careful with radiator
Explain to me just how you are replacing the rear main seal and the main bearing without removing the engine from the frame???????????????????????????????
I think she said that if you wanted to do that, it's part of the complete rebuild, for which they have a video they charge for on their website
Does the head gasket set come with the O-Ring for the Valve Train Oil Tube?
I love your videos and they are great however when you were talking about putting you piston rings head gasket and everything else you forgot to mention putting in new rod bearings
Great video, as usual! I’m restoring a 1955 Ford 800 and have found y’all’s videos very helpful and well done.
Why is this channel so underated..
Rachel 💖
Hey can any of you tell me if the loader for a Ford 3000 will fit on a ford2000 its a Ford loader....thanks
What size neway valve seat tool is required for the 172 engine?
Sure would love a complete hydraulic repair video on early 4000
On a farmall tractor you sleeved, can you do a 1953 ford jubilee tractor
You torqued number #3 head bolt twice # 10 got skipped
