    Genuinely cue thank you so much. I've been terrified to learn guitar and this makes it's so much easier to know I can make cohesive sounding songs instead of floundering. You are so talented and I love the singing ☺️

    Sick dude! I typically play in standard, but if/when I branch out, this'll come in handy for sure. BTW i liked your progression better, i'm a sucker for the staccato/rhythmic strumming lol, sounded awesome bro

    I guess I kinda didn’t think about it before but you can kinda just push any cords or frets down on your guitar and if it sounds nice then you have a note. I guess I thought you had to play every note by the rules

    Yeah, cheat code till you get in a band and everyone has NO IDEA of what you're playing and have no idea on how to harmonize this shit. Plus, you get stuck without knowing how to finish any song.
    Go learn some theory, it isnt as hard as it seems and you dont need to learn any sheet reading to get the Midwest vocabulary. Music theory is fun!!

    • @dearmaryanne
      @dearmaryanne  Месяц назад

      there's definitely some truth in that, i'm trying to learn more music theory for sure. open tunings have just helped me get more comfortable with writing songs, and also a tuning like DAEAC#e (which i use a lot) is in the key of A major so it does give my band mates something to work with theory wise.
